When will members of the forum realise we represent a very very small proportion of the fans and so any thread like this has pretty well no importance whatsoever. Unless there is someone known who wants to buy us what is the point of raising this? Its a road to nowhere and possible extinction of the football club.

How much extra revenue is a new bar and club shop going to generate? Think about it, it's a pittance. They could donate some money into the budget, but of course, they don't want to do that because "the supporters club won’t match their donation" or words to that effect. Well clear it's not anticipated the new bar and shop will generate enough to cover wages of a top-class loan for 6 months. It's obviously the fans fault for not buying enough sausage rolls !

It's not that he can't afford to though is it? We have reached our SCMP and the owners are quite firm in that they don't want us to go past this as they want to make us a sustainable club. This is why money was allocated to improving the mem to give us more matchday revenue which will go straight to DC's budget. Making us more sustainable and improving the matchday experience around the mem isn't something I at all mind if I'm honest. How much extra revenue is a new bar and club shop going to generate? Think about it, it's a pittance. They could donate some money into the budget, but of course, they don't want to do that because "the supporters club won’t match their donation" or words to that effect. It's not just that though as providing more seats at the mem, increasing ticket and food prices, eventually removing staff from turnstiles and making the club shop more accessible on a matchday along with the revamps will actually improve the revenue at the mem by quite a bit. TG also mentioned the renovated bars would look to host more functions so I am quite confident that DC's budget will increased based on the work in the summer. Lots of people question why it is that clubs with smaller attendances can match and even exceed our budget and one of the reasons this is because the previous owners neglected improving the mem in pursuit of a new stadium, work like this was long overdue. Wael's comment about the supporters club not matching their donation annoyed me as much as it does to you as it was a poor excuse really but I can see their logic in not handing over blank cheques. Wael's previous interview was exceedingly frustrating though it has to be said, he's got a lot to do to win back the trust of the supporters and that will have to start by showing clear plans for the future.

But what if the other nine were people that couldn't provide a proof of wealth, asset strippers or just people who had no firm plan and the means to take us forward. There certainly won't be 9 billionaires waiting in the wings to take us over, in fact I doubt there is even one, we need to be careful for what we wish for. "no firm plan and the means to take us forward" sounds like the Al Qadi family to me. We shall see.

With some many broken promises, it seemed to me a good time to ask for view and I don't for a minute expect Wael or Hani to appoint an agent to find a buyer as a result. As you say all threads are unimportant in terms of getting change but the forum is about sharing views that all. PS Do like your match reports

If we could sell 40,000 sausage rolls over the season then DC would have the funds to sign a half-decent centre half. Lets eat out way to success!

Lets eat out way to success! Good idea, we could install a blue peter style graph in the club bar to chart our progress to the target. If that doesn't yell to the world loud and proud "UP THE CRAZY GANG" I don't know what would. We'd also get extra publicity and be everyone's second favourite club after the Babestation fiasco and now the sausage-roll-athon to raise money for new players.

Yes, just imagine all in the Blackthorn End holding their sausage rolls proudly in the air to show their support....that would cheer up Tom Gorringe ....

Cheerio then. If he writes off the debts I’ll buy us for a £1. You will need about 3 million to pay for wages, contracts ect

I’ve never understood why BMW have never considered a red bull styled take over with us! That would be so awesome! Especially with the fact that BMW OWN THE ROVER BRAND! fits on so many levels!

Despite new owners we've become a bad parody of Bristol Rovers circa 2005 so imo anything is possible right now...

In all seriousness there was a post on here a while back that suggested we had contacted BMW about sponsorship and their response was effectively that we would not add to their status as an aspirational brand.
