Totally agree with you ! Get Harrison up front and lets convert these chances. When he came on today he created some excellent chances and the game should have been wrapped up. Time to put Ellis up front. what chances did Ellis create ? Can't remember any. I would say the only player who created chances/space for others was Martin. We really didn't create that much all game. Cunnington's header onto bar was a good move, Taylor created a chance for himself, which was well-saved. In the second We had a few long distance shots, one blocked in the box from a freekick/corner and then Taylor's one -on-one, which was just a punt upfield missed by their defender. We were 1 up all the second half so Dover had to come out more but for me the quality of our passing/decision-making and shooting was pretty poor - hence no second goal.

I'd forgotten that Cunnington hit the bar as well as scoring the goal. I feel bad now, that I compared his pace to that of a fat burglar trying to get away from a police dog. I was still grumpy about the equaliser. He may not have pace, but he's our top scorer and he does put in a decent shift. What's more, it will be a long time before I forget that volleyed goal against Woking.

Disagree strongly. Up till around a month ago I would have agreed but it's not the case now. I take my hat off to Matt Taylor for his work rate but he could have played till midnight and not scored, if he takes that 1 on 1 it's game over 3 points in the bag, he's missed too many now for it to be bad luck, or some you score some you don't. He has to be dropped, and White or Harrison needs a chance to become that goalscorer. Sadly, I'm beginning to agree. I thought Ricky Miller looked sharp for Dover - as well as being a good pantomime villain. Is he the best Miller we've seen since Ishmael scored that hat-trick for West Brom in 2008? (Were we really in an FA Cup quarter-final or was it just my dream?) I agree. This is what I said yesterday.

Yeah the Holloway sides often had five defenders and then a couple of defenders in midfield (Pritchard / Thomson) a defensive midfielder and then the likes of Cureton and Roberts. I think the creativity from midfield can improve but ultimately we signed an overweight and injury prone striker on the basis of decent goalscoring when fit in the past and Taylor on the basis of 7 good games for Chester. White should go out on loan and get fit, if he gets his fitness back he will score bucket loads. Taylor also needs to find some confidence as he couldnt score in Chasers at the moment. Pmsl. Harsh. Anyone could score in chasers, even me Made I kin laugh

I'd say that is very debatable and we were in a higher division last season. What aspects of our game today impressed you today MoS ? We are playing as a team this season, last season we were not. All these player's are busting a gut to do well and i know we lack a bit of Quality in certain area's,but look at the budget DC has had available to him. We had an extremely tiring game on Tuesday, maybe it caught up with us a bit in the end, but saying that, we were still very unfortunate not to win the match today. You know, I struggle to understand how fit, young and professional football players would struggle to play 2 games a week. I do not subscribe to this at all. I was no pro but when I was working out regularly, I could have Ran, swam, lifted weights, boxed etc etc, daily. ISTM that this is an excuse used many times. These guys should be able to play 2 games a week with relative ease. If you have any knowledge of training and recovery times then I think you would agree.

Imagine if we had the chance to wear the quarters mate, how much effort would be put in I trialled for Bristol Parkway and had the luck of playing in the same side as Holloway, Penrice etc but I never made it through the last round. Colin Dobson gently let me down by telling me to concentrate on Rugby pmsl. I cried mate, I was shredded. I think we really do need more local boys in our team. Many more like us who would bust a guy just to wear the shirt.

I trialled with Rovers back in about 1988 but to be fair I was not good enough however had I ever had been given the chance I would have more than busted a gut..... like many fans I would have given more than 100%. I would of been so proud to wear those Quarters

I thought we all agreed we were going to avoid this kind of stuff on this forum. Plenty of it on the Other One for those who want to play it that way.

Yes, I was only aware of the other one at first but found it fairly grim a lot of the time. Just read it for some time and didn't bother to contribute. There seemed to be a lot of running sores on there. Then I found this one and thought it seemed less abrasive on the personal level. Or maybe it just has a brighter screen.

My blood pressure remains nice and low. It's all gravy

Fellow Gasheads, i need to put my hands up on this one. I sat with Hugo second half, with 2 minutes to go i said proudly "We're gonna win after winning the manager of the month award" less than 10 seconds later Dover scored! I unreservedly apologise, what was i thinking! Its a true story! If it helps, I punched him in the bollocks on all of your behalf. i hope you got both of them square on, rather than a deflected blow
