Not sure i agree on this one to be honest.
Imo Matty Taylor was superb Tuesday, i watched from the DriBuild Stand where you have a great view. His endeavour was incredible, his running non stop, he got into goal scoring positions, he tucked away a vital penalty and his passing and vision were good. Of course he needs to bang a few more in but the rest of his game deservedly bides him more time in the starting eleven.
His interview was a good read too, personally i think we've got a cracking Rovers prospect on our hands in Matty, and after initial concerns i'm prepared to back him for the foreseeable:
"Ideally I'd want to be scoring more goals, but as long as I am making a contribution in us winning games then I am happy. I've been a bit unlucky with goalkeepers pulling off good saves, but obviously I have missed a couple of chances I would usually score. That has been a bit of a disappointment for me, but I feel like I have been playing well in the majority of the games and I'm not worrying about that. The pressure put on me by fans or the rest of my teammates or the manager is something I don't think about too often. Obviously I'd like to be scoring goal every week, but the person who puts the most pressure on me is myself. I feel like I'm getting in the right positions and that is all you can do as a striker. Eventually the bounce of the ball or the direction of the final pass will run in your favour. I'm not too bothered about missing chances because when it happens I'm already thinking about scoring the next one. All I'm thinking about now is scoring a goal at Aldershot on Saturday and then to take things off from there."A quick look at the form table after what has been a patchy few games reveals we are the team progressing well, so the lads are doing ok, as always it could be better, but i see a club and team which slowly seems to be learning from it's mistakes and say what you like about our lack of goals but over the last six games nobody has a better goal difference, and we are creating chances more now:
