So who leaked this to the press as I doubt BCC informed the BP before they told club? It had to be 'leaked' surely, as a lot of people with tickets may have to be moved elsewhere. Nothing to do with me Topper. I was only repeating a post from someone else who had rang the club for information.

It'll be fine. BCC were happy to have the Redcliffe temporary flyover up for 30 years. Those stands will be here for many years to come 😪 I want to give that a 'Like', but I just can't otherwise I'll start crying ! Sorry to disappoint but highway works do not require planning permission

This is not April fools day is it? We do things differently at Rovers. April 1st is the only day some ridiculous stories don't come out about Rovers.

The person who campaigned on here for the family stand to be removed may get their wish as the council can order it's removal. I doubt that would happen to the sw stand as it was replacing an existing stand. The club told me a while back that a safety certificate had been granted so I imagine they can carry on using the stands for the time being. It maybe that the council officers are not communicating with each other.

Speaking as an ex councillor , how can the council issue a safety certificate without planning permission, also in my day a temporary built unit does not need to have planning permission unless it blocks the highway

I'm going with a council screw up on this one. The only thing more ragbag and incompetent than Bristol Rovers is Bristol council.

Regards safety certificate that info came from the club ask them.

As a Siuth West Stand season ticket holder it’s been a farce this season. Moved for the first match, club did a nice gesture of pie and a drink, good stuff. Then they messed the row numbering up and loads of people ended up in the wrong seats. All they needed to do was number the rows propkerly. No, they try to do a cheap fix and still there is confusion over the row numbers. I have managed to sit in my allocated seat twice. Still no speakers in the stand. I wouldn’t mind if it was volunteers running the club, but how many highly paid people do we have at the club. I will renew my season ticket as I love Rovers, but trying to attract new supporters is a difficult task while we keep messing up.

Everyone needs to quickly wake up to this absolute farce of a regime at Rovers and unlike when we needed to force out The board when the boardroom split over a decade ago and during Higgs’ worst days we need to act as one and send a clear message to this shamble to sell up and sod off.
Rant over

Sorry but those running this club have turned us into a f**king laughing stock. f**k off and let someone else in Yes from the manager up DC is fine however i would expect our head of recruitment to support him better then a league 2 reserve team full back. The clubs lost its way and lost its soul.

I don't know why people criticize the manager, where would we be without him probably languishing in the National League certainly wouldn't be discussing new stands as gates would be alot lower than they are and there would know need for more seating. It is DC who has got us where we are not the AQ family.
