Sounds like a cockup by the council with the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.... or the Greens are just putting their smelly fingers in

Also it says that the stands would only be classed as temporary until planning permission is granted. So they're going to be permanent then.

I did post when it was first announced that planning permission would be required and as the structures are temporary the consent would need to be renewed regularly every few years.

Temporary would mean for a short period. maybe a week. As it will be in situ for 12 months or whatever suspect it needs signing off as 'permanent'
The South Stand is a temporary 'permanent' structure

the structures are not some secret things that have suddenly appeared over night

This couldn’t have happened at a worse time for the board! With all the rumours flying around, this will only exasperate things. Hopefully will be sorted soon & council will bugger off!

I’m surprised we haven’t issued a statement on the club website about this considering that there’s a good probability that two stands won’t be in use this Saturday even though season ticket holders have been moved into them. Lying low to avoid embarrassment?

They might have worked with the safety certificate department but not the planners. Ok perhaps the two council departments should communicate but planning permission would be required for a temporary structure just as it is for the south stand. I know this as I have been involved in gaining that permission in the past.

Three scenarios: 1. Rovers have jumped the gun on installing the 2 stands because anyone that has dealt with previous planning permission has left the club.
2. Some sh1thead in the Council Planning Department is causing mischief.
3. No f@*£er in either organisation has a clue what is going on.
