So Darrell insisted on a “head of recruitment” which no doubt came from his budget. Now what’s the point of having a head of recruitment if you can’t bring any players in? Would that “money” be better spent on a striker? As a club we need to roll the dice... this means either giving Darrell some money to spend in January, or bring in a more experienced manager On a rewarding contract to keep us up. Not necessarily even sacking dc as he’s on such a long contract maybe keep him as a number 2 or a coach

I don't care anymore.
DC goes, don't care. DC stays, don't care.
The problem is clearly the ownership and trying to support this club is becoming very tiresome.
Taking a well needed break from this place

The DC is God believers may not agree, but it is now time to say thanks DC, now off you go with this payment. We then get someone in who will cut our squad, introduce better players and play some of our kids, who when ever they have played on the first team have never let us down. That's bullshit rhetoric. It's possible to think that it's worth keeping hold of DC without thinking he's god. Would it be ok to you to characterise your argument as a DC hater. Would it be ok to say, now we've lost a game the DC haters are coming out of the woodwork? I actually don't hate anyone, but you cannot defend a manager who has put together a very poor squad AND has spent his limit on doing so

No argument that the recruitment has been poor. If it was me in January, I'd be looking to offload Upson (probably on a fair wedge and is expendable), Rodman (likewise), Martin and Jakubiak and then HOPEFULLY be able to get one or two decent players in using that money. I live in dreamland though.

As regards selling players the ALQ's have already sold anybody decent bar Locks! Plus they've took all the equity out of the club. It's either p1ss poor ownership or asset stripping. Lets remind ourselves that all the players that we have "sold" were in their last few months of their contract. What is best, sell them as much as you can get, or let them run their contract down and see them walk away for nothing. 99% of the clubs in this country are selling clubs, we are not different. You cannot hold on to players that want to progress and get a lot more money. Trouble is DC has wasted his budget on mediocraty

Not surprised by this statement. We were already told it was one in one out. I think there is some serious belt tightening going on at the club. Might explain why the away end was shut today. Save money in staff. I suggested to TG that we sale only seated tickets to away fans of clubs that bring smaller followings as you get more money per supporter if you sale them a seat as opposed to a terrace ticket, so bringing in more money from away fans. That is why the terrace area was closed it will be used as an overflow for away supporters and open to clubs with a bigger following . The problem is we do not have /allocate enough seating for away support . I did suggest extending the south stand to cover the area where the Maple sign is but apparently the new screen is going in there if it ever turns up! . Regards to takeover apparently new owners are close to signing, if that is true then perhaps we won't need this penny pinching and can get on and make some serious improvements to the Mem.

Think you will find that all people who purchased terrace tickets were also allowed in to the south stand.

I hope not that wasn't the plan, I know the club messed up against Wimbledon , but it should have been seat tickets only on Saturday, can't this club get anything right.

I asked a steward in the south stand why there wasn't any fans in the terrace, he said we let them all in the south stand as there wern't that many of them.

Martin will go back now THD is nearing fitness. Rodman might still come good, still early days and he had personal problems.

I think you will find the away fans would had to have paid seat prices , there is an unfair trading act dated 2009 ? whereby the club could be fined if they sold terrace tickets for seats , as it would be unfair on all the fans that pay seat prices for their seats. Anyway as it appears we will be getting new owners soon we won't have to worry about getting additional cash from away fans.

We did the same last season, on a Tuesday night game, we let them in the south stand so we could get our season ticket + 1 in, Fleetwood I think it was.

Are people allowed to be 'dounters' or is the man beyond reproach, like some sort of footballing Pope? It seems people are trying to blame the board, the price of sausage rolls, the pitch etc for the team creating 16 chances and not scoring a goal, desperately trying to overlook that it is DC who brought the players in so if we can't score then he has to take responsibility. 2 promotions is all well and good but it still doesn't disguise the fact that recruitment has been nothing short of crap. Let's not try and dress that up.

Yeah tbf Upson has looked alright and Rodman has had other issues to contend me, I just mean from a business perspective those two are *probably* on a decent enough wage that, by shipping them out, would allow us to get some more players in. I'm just speculating though, from the sense of both being expendable in squad size regards. I'd definitely let Martin and Jakubiak go back to their parent clubs though. Martin was only ever a short-term fix while THD recovers (and now he's playing minutes in the CTT and development squad, he should be back fully soon) and Jakubiak, I think it's fair to say it just hasn't worked out for the lad be that through lack of opportunities or otherwise.
