Isn't Bonham's loan up in January? The way he's playing I'm sure there will be interest apart from us for him. So that's probably 2 out. No, he's on a year, but as I understand it, they can un-loan him at any time. January or mutual agreement I think.

Fingers crossed they don't recall him, we could be really fu#ked if they do.

We must realise that Wael has given us two new pitches, an improved bar, a new stand (abeit it's crap), has bought the land for a future training ground, formed a development squad and has "toched-up" the ground in areas. We never would have got this if Higgsy was still the owner. Without the investment in our first season back in L1, we'd have been straight back down.
Wael has to put all his faith in DC in January, and DC has to deliver the goods from now until the end of the season. If we go down, I wouldn't be surprised if Wael and co packed their bags and walked.

Why would he want to come here? It's nice to keep busy. He'd certainly have that. My life aim was to earn as much money as i could for doing as little as possible, and it worked!

Pretty sure the previous board relayed the pitch a few times. Twice doesn't count as such a positive when they did the first one on the cheap that they then made it like a park standard. Improved bar & new stand we've been told pays for itself from sponsors & kit producers paying for the refurbishment. Bought land - great. What's going on with that again? Development squad - fair enough. What a time to be alive!

Higgs and co always found money for players when it was needed (just ask jeff Hughes) which in many ways it seems the fans want more than improved facilities given the choice as the league position is where the buck ultimately stops with the state of the club. Let's see how much cash DS finds down the back of the sofa in January to make a statement of intent about keeping us up. I won't be expecting much...

Thing is wael knows our value is less if we get relegated, and often clubs then struggle the following season so it is imperative that we find some scoring strikers.

Question: Is it better to be near the top of Div 2, or near the bottom of Div 1? Depends on the circumstances. As a fan? Probably League 2. As a club, League 1 (for financial reasons)

Question: Is it better to be near the top of Div 2, or near the bottom of Div 1? Thats a big IF and a gamble because there is no guarantee that we would be near the top of L2.
