Been keeping away from here over past two weeks but this has stirred me back in. Missed Saturday and guessed what it would be like on here but DC has paid the price of many failures on the part of other people and his own bad run. The club’s statement is written by the club and will have been written by the owners so I don’t take too much notice of that. It’s marginally better than the statement accompanying Ian Holtbys leaving the club but not much in view of what DC has done for us. Pretty sure DC would not have gone willingly 100% but on this occasion I guess confidential clauses will be in place to stop him telling the truth or at least an “alternative version”! The owners and those around them now need to do something and rely upon someone else other than DC to carry the can. They never had a plan B for when the ground went down I only hope they have a plan B for what to do when DC isn’t there to dig them out of a hole. That at least should be interesting to watch. I hope that those that wished him gone are happy. Football is a results business so I understand (don’t agree with it but...) why he has gone. But I hope we don’t get a multitude of “I told you so...”, those who’ve recently joined the call for him to go is one thing but it’s those calling for him to go last season or even before that were wrong and made a bad situation worse. But it’s all about opinions and I hope the opinions stretch wider than Ian Holloway or some other guys on the managerial merry-go-round. And I guess you never know what you’ve got until you haven’t got it. Sad day imo. Thank you DC for giving us a great 4 years, for two promotions (we’ve only ever had 6 altogether), for recreating the Rovers spirit and giving us back a team we could be proud of. There are some “downs” but today is not the time to go over them. I wish him every success in the future. UTG!

and that twat of a defensive coach is in charge......... Come on Henbury that’s a bit unfair. With our defensive record I think he’s done a fair job so far. Don’t think it’s his fault. UTG!

f**k the players , f**k the owners and f**k the ‘supporters’ who wanted our great manager out of the club ! This is the Trollope era all over again and the only way is down. DC , you are truly a gas legend in my eyes and always will be, I wish you nothing but succes for the future. Thank you so much for putting pride back into our club. Sorry guys and gals but we really are the joke of Bristol. I’m out.

This is a disastrous mistake.
A sad, sad day.
How many managers will we have in the next six years?!
Can't say much more.

Not just Saturday, but for the future. I want to hear a very loud, "you're not fit to own our club' ring around the Mem the next time our esteemed President shows up. This.

Just got home from work and just heard, I'm devastated!!!
Darrell will always be a Gas Legend for what he achieved these past four years and I will truly miss him. Now I truly fear for our club' and no doubt we will end up with a new manager who will really need to win the supporters over and quickly.
Thank F##k I now live in Bridgwater as BRFC news is rare, its all bloody Yeovile on the radio down here and that boils my blood.
Good Luck and Best Wishes to Darrell Clarke
Al Quadi's Out!!!

Who replaces them? The building firm in Southampton? The man on the Isle of Man? The Fugitive? An American consortium? A Russian, A Tai, or a Chinese bloke. The man seen at the Mem with a briefcase? A consortium led by Holloway? The Bring back Higgs group? First Bus Co? Anyone? No one really

Weird really. No one is ever bigger than the football club but it felt like DC was the football club. Will never get my head around the decision. I just wish there was a way of letting DC know how the majority of us feel about it. How do you know it is a majority? This is a small number on here compared to the 8 thousand who have been bored stiff this season
