It’s such a weak statement, “probably in the best interests . . . ”?! Too Dam late if it isn’t! Shows how spineless the current people in charge really are. Not good

Another stealth website announcement. They really don't like fronting up do they? From what we know of the regime so far, they are unprepared, clueless and give jobs to their mates, so expect a month without a manager before Wael finally gives it to a friend of his who has just got into coaching and fancies some work experience til the end of the season.
Thanks for everything DC. In many ways it's probably for the best but the manner and timing is really disappointing.
I hope there is some sort of formal opportunity for fans to give him some sort of send off rather than this shambles. I'm not joking when I say that DC could no doubt do a couple of very well attended Q&A evenings to hear his thoughts on the current regime and also anecdotes about his time in football.

Genuinely so so shocked at this. It just feels like the Al Qadi's have singlehandedly managed to ruin all the good DC brought during his tenure as manager.
I must say I will miss DC a lot, his interview style was refreshing and his attacking mentality had my approval. He will always be looked upon fondly and favourably as someone who brought the good times back after we had hit rock bottom.
All the best in future DC.

If Cotteril becomes manager my affiliation with Rovers is over for now. This board have stabbed DC in the back.

Let@s be honest this has been coming for quite a Wael. Lets cut out all this bollucks of protesting by not attending. That will get us nowhere. Based on results the owners have made the right decision and probably if anything they have been more than fair given the time they have given DC to turn it around. Lets get behind the club as this could well be the test of the owners intentions so lets give them the chance to name the new Manager and see where it takes us. To boycott the club will take us one place RELEGATION. The new man now has a few games before the January Transfer to decide what stays and what goes and maybe just maybe a bit of consistency in Team Selection. Lets remember that our club could easily have gone into administration under the Higgs Regime so lets give the owners a chance to see what their intentions are. It just might be the right decision.

Absolute disgrace. Que the announcement of the cheap option MS to be announced as manager. Wael and Co need to have a bloody good look at themselves and make a decision once and for all on their vision for BRFC. If that does not include a new stadium, new training facilities and investment in the squad then go. I know as fans we like to spend other peoples money but why on earth did they buy the club in the first place if they're not going to open their wallet.

This has legit depressed me much harder than I expected. The impacts of this decision on every possible aspect are too overwhelming for me to form coherent sentences, but I will say these two things: First, best of wishes to DC. He's talented, driven, and will no doubt achieve success elsewhere - especially in a place where he has actual backing. And second... I have a good memory. And I'll be here to see the DC slaggers water and moan at the next manager when things go south for us. Kin ell the first 3 lines are almost word for word what i was going to type ,i feel like something that is a part of us has been ripped out ,me n wend are forever in DC's debt(and a lot of forumers who also helped) for the help they gave when we were at the lowest oint in our lives ,not just a manager but also a good man who always had time for us fans. Cheers DC i really do hope your next club get behind you and give you the resources you need, welling up- like a babby here

Sorry but f**k off Steve we've had 2 years to see what their intentions are. We've had lie after lie and now they're planning cut backs. I feel they've now created a very hostile atmosphere for themselves

Some well ott comments on here! I'll always love DC to bits, proper honest manager and proper gashead who gave me some of my favourite rovers moments, but this is football! How many other teams would keep their manager after the last 40 or so games? Fresh start is needed now with someone who has to be backed in Jan, this is key. Results are all we need this season so WAQ this is the most crucial decision you've had to take, don't f**k it up!
Btw unlike others I'll be going week in week out to support the players and new manager, if we want to get out of this mess we all need to be in it together, not just give up and say things like "were relegated now" or "this is the final straw". There's so many points to play for and a transfer window. Sad day but also an opportunity, UTG

Cheap yes man incoming!
DC was a player or two from getting us into the Championship via play-offs pre-Snake sale - he wins all his play-offs finals!
Gutted!
Can you get a refund on season tickets?!?!?

With the budget we have well probably end up with someone like Martin Allen. God forbid.

If he's resigned, then he's done the right thing. A young & capable Manager like him is wasting his time at a club like ours (ie with owners like ours). I am really disappointed to see him go though. Very saddened. More words fail me just now.

That's me done. Starting to regret this season's season ticket anyway. It might do us good for the short term but long term is definitely a bad move for us. I really think this is the beginning of the end of my love affair with Rovers. Thanks Al Qadi's, really appreciate it. Why don't you do us all a favour and just f**k off.
