I assume two against Bradford as we were drawing when he scored, and one today.

Yes, I think so. 2 last week, without his goal to put us ahead we would not have won. (I know JCH got the winner) And 1 point today. My point was more about getting the award and then rising to the occasion and getting the goals when they were really needed rather than sniping at him for apparently not playing so well up to then. UTG!

It begs the question why he's spent most of the season looking average at best, if winning the award has spurred him to two good performances. I think he was our best midfielder in the first half of the season then had a couple of injuries / when he played didn’t play well, now he’s come back and was our best player today and played well last game too. I would say Bonham, olly Harris and James Clarke have been our best four hard to say which order but if I had to pick one I’d probably pick Harris because without his goals we’d already be relegated. Bonham close second - 17 clean sheets. Special mention to those that I haven’t Lockyer and Craig and Dennis , obviously part of a good defensive shield for Bonham.

Heard the SC are not having an official presentation evening cos of the threat of relegation.
Pity, because the SC player of the year used to be a good crack in the Twerton and early Mem days. Obviously, Grayson, Atkins, McGhee and Buckle put pay to that but I heard last season was good (although a bit low key but a good send off for Browner). I hoped that the SC would continue and improve the evening to give ordinary fans the chance to attend.
Agree that the winner should be JCH, but otherwise it would have been Bonham. The most consistent actual Rovers player all season for me would be James Clarke.
Strange how none of last seasons top 3 featured - Ellis, Sercs, Parts. Shows how hard it is to play catch up if you have injuries and niggling knocks and miss out on a full pre -season.
If Sercs stays, I expect him to be a top 3 player again if fully fit.

8 goals from midfield this season, highly combative and never shirks the issue, even when the rest of our midfield have gone missing. Regularly plays through pain and one of our own to boot. What’s not to love about Ollie Clarke?

Classic lower leagues post-match interview with Ollie after the Wimbledon game. A couple of blokes walking up and down the pitch with noisy two-stroke lawnmowers right behind him whilst Ollie's trying to do his interview! Didn't seem to phase OC though. Well done Ollie, keep up the good work mate!

Interesting hearing OC say after the last two games that he’s been working on those long-range curling shots in training recently - clearly it’s paying off!
Just shows that players can add new parts to their game all the time if they work at it. OC is now a real threat with his distance shooting.
