"The club have got lovely training facilities and a great stadium and I am really happy to be here". Ouch.

James Clarke been offered a good contract, still negotiating and likely to sign. Sorry roady but you've lost all credibility you had in my eyes for being ITK, knowing Wael etc. Clearly we didn't offer JC a good contract as he chose to step down a division, rather than play first team L1 football. This club is a f*cking joke at times. More bad contract management again as well - GC was asked by GT if he put a deadline on the contract he said no. Number 1 rule of contracts is put a deadline ffs.

I would think that better facilities, and linking up with DC again would have been big factors in his decision - he commented that "DC knows how to build a good dressing room".

Tbf, I'm probably sure he was offered an improved contract, but was it enough? Are Walsall offering him more? I'm sure training facilities come into it, but surely the one we rent is still up to standard? How bad can it really be? As a player, would you rather play Ipswich, Bolton, Pompey, Sunderland etc or Salford, Macclesfield & Newport? Clearly DC is a good salesman, but questions have to be asked as to why our first team players reject our deals to play in the division below

Every player has his worth and I for one would not get involved in a bidding war for a very average player like James Clarke.

Deeply disappointing to lose JC. As I mentioned above, it has to be asked why a player rejects an offer for first team football in L1 to join a L2 club.

Loyalty to DC. JC was still calling DC gaffer even after DC left. Something like; he rescued me from delivery driving(?) As said......… either in the team at the Stadium of Light or on a rotating bench at Moss Rose. Everyone knows their own comfort zone.

No credibility, I don’t mind what you say about Gassy or think anyone on here thinks I talk sh**. I am not hiding behind a user name, my name is Paul Colley and I work with several football clubs. I am personal friends with the Managing Director of Wish who sponsors LA Lakers, he sponsors Le Bron James and also Neymar who I have introduced to our club.
I am lying, ask Gashead81 on here who is a Moderator. I deal with 6 football league club on a weekly basis in season. I’ve met so many people in football and agents, first game of the season again when I was guest of Peterborough United V Bristol Rovers when I took the likes of Charis May (some may know) and others as guest of this club because of my career.
Finally I will say DC has been in a job for a couple of weeks now and he never signed Clarke as quick as Sincs last week because he had a real battle on his hands with us. I was told the club felt confident he would sign, I’m sure many clubs have been confident like this but it seems DC has done a better sales job.
The same applies to Mario Balotelli, who called me a lier, jog on boys making digs behind a user name.
Best Regards Paul

Should I believe every word you say because you gave your real name on a forum? I've had my name previously on this forum as well, but I don't go round bragging about how it makes me special. I've never called you liar & never will do, nor have I said you "talk sh*t". However, I personally won't believe what you've been told going forward.

Sometimes people with information do get it wrong. They can be told the wrong things themselves. Im happy that you are prepared to come on to a forum and let others know like myself what is happening ie Keep it coming.

JC was offered terms which was similar to his previous league 2 contract, he went back for a few hundred more, GC originally agreed then refused to answer calls. JC did not want to leave and only wanted a minimal increase. Club just refused to answer calls etc. He had no option! Fact

If this is indeed true then it’s even more shocking than being outbid by Walsall in the first place.

The club say he was given an improved contract offer on the website, in my book that would be a minimal increase. Find it hard to believe the club refused to answer his calls. Where are your facts from?
