Don't know why he'd want go to Grimsbury. The place is a run-down shithole and the managers job there is a precarious one. He has security of employment here, but I suppose the lure of managerial kudos is too hard to resist. A shame though, I believe he is doing a good job here but there you go. Hargreaves gone from 6/1 to 3/1. Doesn't make sense. Having our 3rd manager in a week tomorrow makes even less sense?

Could possibly be on his way. 3rd in the running to be the next Grimsby manager at 7/1 and apparently was at their game against Northampton yesterday. Think I heard him say on BT Sport the other day that he was looking for a managerial role. What is going on ? O maybe every body has finally had enough of training in a Sunday morning facility, for a boss who wants to sell and not invest in the club, got it.

Not for me, an outside appointment would be my preference at this time. Been twice lucky with the last two internal appointments but asking a lot to be third time lucky again. Definately would smack of our owners pocketing the compensation money and .yet again doing something on the cheap. If that is the case why bother with all the bluster to the media by our CEO about wanting an experienced proven league manager. One things for sure at least one of the outside applicants is sure to offer more than an internal appointment. If an insider is promoted in my book i t's yet more proof of the ambition or lack of it from our owners. So you think appointing a manager internally is cheaper than externally. Personally I expect the salary to be about the same. Plus Couglan did very well and signed a good crop of players, add to this we have blooded some youngsters. I don't think that an external manager would have done that because they would have know the younger players. the thing is I want someone like Coughlan rather than Clarke. Picks the strongest team, knows what youngsters we have and more importantly being able to recognise some good players to bring to the club. Because Coughlan did all of that. Lack of ambition? Overspending when Clarke was here means that in order to comply with the financial rules we have to get people out of the club. I'd rather believe that fact than the rantings of Clarke about his budget. Meanwhile COUGHLINS success in the cups so far will increase next seasons budget

Chris Hargreaves and Mansell were together at Torquay and as pointed out would certainly be a cheap option especially with Wael looking to cut costa and balance the books which the Directors told me they were aiming to do this season. If managers from outside the club are to pricy then the owners may well go for the two Home Bargen's rather than a more expensive Waitrose import. Why is it a cheap option?

Although both were internal promotions anyway.
