It’s December and JCH is injured. Again. No one will be bidding on him at the moment. In Jan you want fit strikers not ones who have spent 9 weeks of the season on the treatment table. Is JCH injured or gone on strike? Can anybody really be as injury prone as JCH? At least he won't be joining up with GC at Mansfield! The only way Wael can keep fans on his side is make a decent employment, such as Holloway/Jones or Tisdale, go for the cheap option and drift back to middle table and attendances will plummet even further. Mark Little?

I posted the link to his comments on Reilly in the other thread. Banging on about “if people don’t want to be on the bus then they can get off’ etc. The bloke is a total hypocrite. I’d forgotten about that Plymouth stuff and you’re right he cultivated that speculation to the point where it seemed like he would leave so he’s got previous. As you say, he drilled a hole in the bottom of his own boat with those comments and made his position untenable before Mansfield came in for him. An absolute chancer. GC must have set a new Rovers record the most hated successful manager in our history? Usually we dislike unsuccessful managers! Mansfield have also shot up the most disliked club table. Definitely no hate towards GC from me, ignore thatvwe are 4th..the board are taking the water, selling our best players at every chance and there will be little available for signing new players.

In fairness to the board we don’t know that yet. They deserve criticism for the past but not the future. We know GC wants out and he knew we were skint when he took the job on. If he was told last December that we were flogging Bennett and the like in January 2019 do you think that would have stopped him signing his contract and taking the job? Course it wouldn’t

Well, sort of, depending on who you believe. Wael wants to stay, the family want out, investors want the club plus ground, whatever ground that may be. Who knows what's really going on? That sounds pretty accurate to me. January is going to be an interesting time and the manager getting the club to where it is has put massive pressure on the current owners. We can't afford to go up (infrastructure and player investment) and yet we can't afford not to (financial incentives, losing even more ground on Championship teams and widening the gulf further). When the Gascast team were asking for topics the other week, I suggested the pros and cons of a brief cameo appearance (not sure whether it got selected and discussed). Could we yo-yo for the financial benefits accepting becoming the whipping boys or risk what happened to Yeovil and be worse off. GC and the team has put the owners under pressure, chances like this don't come along often so what do they do? Would it help sell the club?

Chances like this for promotion don't come around too often. You have to think with a small investment in the squad a realistic push could be made for promotion from the position we are in. Instead, it seems as though we are facing cuts in the squad.

But is that simply the line GC wants us to believe so he jump ship for more money to club nearer home the BP is saying GC never raised any concerns with them as he's never previously done with the press? If he's really ambitious why move to god damn Mansfield when the best they'll ever hope to do his bounce between L1 & L2.

To be fair they've been spot on about GC leaving for to Mansfield.

You can't turn down the opportunity to go up, but we all know we have virtually zero chance of competing if we do.
I can only imagine the ire of the fans if we were bottom of the championship after 15 games and 6 points, demanding the Al-Qadi's sell and the manager must be sacked

Going for promotion doesn’t seem to be phasing the mighty Wycombe Wanderers does it?

Going for promotion doesn’t seem to be phasing the mighty Wycombe Wanderers does it? Thats not what I am saying though. If we are at our limit of wage spending there isnt much we can do unless we move players like Bennett on. Of course we could demand the AQs put some money in but then what if we go up or fail to do so.... I am not advocating not trying to get promoted, just that the championship is mental. Whatever we do is a gamble. Football finance now is the main reason for my ambivelance in football in general. It all seems so hopeless and pointless and needs to stop, yet fans will demand more be spent. Championship clubs spending more on wages than they are bringing in. Tens of millions a year losses. Fans will then moan and turn if we arent competitive and demand more from our owners and our sh** ground Promotion aint that appealing when you look at it like that, but you cant turn opportunities down

What do we think Wycombe are going to do in January and how do we think they will fair if they go up. I see our psychic fans no exactly what the Wycombe owners are thinking. Are Wycombe following the rules? But lets run Rovers down for lack of ambition or following the rules
