As has been pointed out many times before he doesn’t seem to have contact details, otherwise I would! With respect, you have acted in the same manner as those you deride! You’ve said someone is trying to force through a deal that is not good for the club which implies you know what the deal is? Either you don’t know and are just mud slinging or you’re being an ITK without sharing your source or further details. Have I? Where have I said that?

Still as rag bag and unprofessional as ever. LED. End of season awards. Season ticket promotion video. Trials of transportation to matches. Best pitch in years. Media department revitalised. A restaurant where most attending have paid funds to the club. Refurbished bar X2. Refurbished shop. Highest position in 20 years (save a few weeks in 2009). Yep, ragbag.. Whilst running up record debt which is owned by the owners and paying anywhere between 4-6% interest on. Conveniently offshore so that no one can see any records. Crowds dwindling and a toxic atmosphere at the ground. Imagine if this was Nick Higgs , he’d be crucified if he had done this.

On this thread you said the following: ...” protest against what exactly? An owner covering the huge losses now involved in running a football club? An owner fighting off a group of machiavellian amateurs trying to force a bad deal for the club?” So either you know what that deal is or you are mud slinging?

Or for that matter, any other peer football club in debt? There have been positives, however little, they should be recognised. Higgs was rightly crucified. It still didn't stop me supporting the club in a time of need.

A bit like fantasist WAQy with the training ground then, who obviously didn't set out a fully costed business plan, with finance already in place. Well. Not really like that at all since the family were able to buy the land not just ruminate about doing it on an internet forum. I can picture it now - 2.15 on Saturday afternoon Wael announces on Radio Bristol he's prepared to sell to a fan's trust. "Errr ... we haven't thought that far ahead, you fake sheik! We want you out but can you hang on for a bit ... errr ... ummm ..." Operating losses of £2m a year. Let's say 10 people are willing to put £10k in annually and 50 people are willing to put £2k in a year. The remaining £1.8m comes from where? What, 3,000 (that's about one third of largest recent attendance) people are going to put in £600 on top of their season ticket are they ... sorry ... are you? Are you f**k. Plus we want a new stadium, plus we want a new training facility, plus we want you funding wages of Championship quality players. Come on, you fake "fans" trust, you're not delivering what you promised. We want you fake "fans" out! As Gasheads we've two choices, either hope another wealthy owner turns up and is prepared to write off £2m/£3m p.a. and fund the stadium etc, or we go for a Fans Trust and become self sufficient, which would probably mean dropping down to L2 whilst we rebuild. Unfortunately, it seems at present only Exeter have a successful Fans Trust ownership model. Wycombe have, or are, being taken over and Wimbledon might have to sell a third of their shares capital to get the stadium built. Although if the BP are correct the FM deal might be finally agreed this month.

I went to Tesco last week and they had run out of cauliflower.
I mentioned it to a supervisor nearby, and he said that unless I've run a supermarket before, and have enough funds to take over the company and run it better, I should just shut my mouth and stop complaining about things I don't understand.
That told me. So I went to Asda.
None of the above is true, but apparently it is the rule on this forum.

Does this story end with you organising a protest outside to demand that Tesco sign the store over free of charge for a group of concerned customers to manage in future?

No it ends with Tesco’s going bust and their stores sold to Sainsbury’s for a knockdown price.

Protesting isn't an English thing anymore ~ We should bring a load of French or Hong Kongers over they love a good old protest ~ be tear gas, burning tyres and rubber bullets all over the car park before you could say Wael out

Probably sell the land for building houses, I can see it coming I think we can all see that coming. The optimist in me thinks that this is a calculated move. If they can make their 15M back on this land deal then they will be less inclined to sell the current stadium to pay of debts. I would get behind South Glos council to let them do that if it means Rovers stay afloat.

No, it ends with me no longer shopping at Tesco, because although I can't run a supermarket, I am capable of recognising poor management. Do keep up.

They bought it for some 300,000 iirc and I believe at the time it was said that there are issues in that it’s a brownfield site and either unsuitable for housing or there was an agreement made as part of the purchase with the previous owners that DS couldn’t sell the land on for housing. Either way, I believe it.’s unfortunately not as simple as just making ridiculous profit at the drop of a hat on it

In my opinion the debts were always destined to be recouped by selling the Mem.
