Garner: "To be judged as a manager, great advice I was given by a really experienced manager is you’re judged on what the condition of the club is when you leave. For me, if I left this football club tomorrow the infrastructure put in place will put this club in a stronger position moving forwards." WTF!? 'Delusions are the main symptom of delusional disorder. They’re unshakable beliefs in something that isn’t true or based on reality. People with delusional disorder often can continue to socialize and function normally, apart from the subject of their delusion, and generally do not behave in an obviously odd or bizarre manner. Delusional disorder is considered difficult to treat.'

Yes, sounds from today's interview that we've got BG for the long term, Mansell, Hargreaves and Maher as part of the backroom staff are being assessed between now and end of season for buy-in as he looks to new appointment(s) in summer. If Mansell, Hargreaves and Maher can't take him behind the South Stand and really f**k him up*, I'd be surprised. Seriously, it would probably only take two of them, Hargreaves can stand watch. *Not really advocating violence.

And I can see why Garner considers him, and probably Mansell as well, to be a threat to his job.

Thinking about it, if he trusted his own backroom staff why is he on the phone to Coppell most days of the week (as stated in today's interview) rather that discussing things with his own coaching team? Performances not improving despite all the advice from Coppell.

Performances not improving despite all the advice from Coppell. Probably the same reason why GC brought in Joe Davey, not sure why we didn't pay off Maher as he has no real connections to the club, are we back to a Dave Penney v the players/coaching staff situation?

I've been looking at some of the harsher comments about Ben over the weekend thinking "he's not that" or "that's not fair" - but you know what? The bloke is a f*cking idiot. Get him out of this club now ffs

For me, I try to separate the person from results/job they're doing. I wanted him out of the club, but held nothing against the bloke as a personality. This interview though has just shown that he's a complete twat.

But this guy, nice bloke he may be, but this Club needs results, it's what bring the fans back week in week out, and he just hasn't done it. I almost feel as though he's used us as his practice run.

I don’t get what he means by infrastructure, that’s such a vague term. Obviously he doesn’t mean the physical infrastructure, because nothing’s changed on that front and even if it had, it’s not what he’s responsible for. So does he mean processes? Does he mean the budget? Does he mean the hierarchy under him? I wish the interviewer would of picked him up on that.

He won’t get another job. That’s why he’s saying the things he is. He is a desperate man who knows he will not work as a manager again so he is saying whatever he can to implicate everything around him. He’s proven that he is not even beyond criticising the state of the place when he turned up- even though he knows as well as we do that we were 4th and on a great run. He’s that desperate.
