Shame about Ogogo. Surely will have a lot of interest. Got Mansfield with GC written all over it?
As for Bennett, at this stage I would tak ea club paying a third of his wages on loan. Just get him off the books and get whatever we can for him.

Would be a result if we could even just loan out Bennett and pay half his wages, given he's our highest earner.
Ogogo I'm a bit sad about, but only because the bloke is so passionate and bleeds for the shirt. On the ball he's limited and Garner clearly doesn't feel he is suited to his system and the way he wants to play, so maybe for the best.

Bennett being told he's got no future here, I think we all suspected but Ogogo is a strange one. I rate him, works hard, gets about and decent on the ball, honestly I thought he had a part to play under Garner. He fights for the shirt, I like that in a player.
With Clarke, Sercombe and now seemingly Ogogo all leaving the club this summer, surely signing another midfielder is in Garners plans.

trouble is, the same thing it has been for 18 months. Who is going to take Bennett
Given the current climate, Bennett might have even more incentive to sit tight for 12 months and pick up his money

He needs to play as well, if he wants a contract elsewhere.

Over 2 transfer windows, Garner has bought in 3 players who can play CM/CAM in Grant, Westbrooke and Barrett as well as seemingly liking Hargreaves so I don't think we will see another personally.

I’d keep Ogogo even if I was going to play a Pretty on the eye passing style simply because this is league 1 and there are plenty of tough scrappy sides , plenty of rough pitches and there will sure as hell be games where the weather is crap and we’ll be crying out for a hard man who puts himself about during the season in those kind of games. If he goes and we bring another similar type of player who’s better then fair enough.

I rate Ogogo..one of the few players in the second half of last season that showed any grit.
We seem to be signing good footballers but we don't want to become too lightweight.
There are going to be teams that are physical and Ogogo is an option I would like to have.

Grant is supposedly decent at doing that job too. Both obviously quite young though which is the only concern for me,

I think Garner bringing Jack Bridge on trial whilst doing a deal for Zain Westbrooke at the same time as well as the interest in Adam May means he is interested in another. A few injuries in that department will see us down to bare bones if we are playing 3 in the middle.

Not surprised at either being surplus. Hope Ogogo finds a good club, did a good job for us.

Especially with a shortened season time wise yet as many matches as ever. 2 games a week, Ogogo is your 6/10 player most weeks, not spectacular but doesn’t tend to do the work that makes you spectacular, always does a steady job. I’d be sorry to lose him. UTG!

I can see Ogogo going to someone lower league 1 and help keep them up. Bennet I can see going to league 2 standing out for his technical ability but frustrating his club and ultimately not achieving anything. My reason for these predictions ? History tends to repeat itself.

Bennet on the other hand has never looked that good or that interested and I don’t really care if he has a successful career from here on or not.
