10 games in,which seems to be the accepted time to judge him.My view is that this season is no better than the last,he has got the players he wanted,he has had time to get his style of play into his team and yet once again we produce another powder puff performance. The decision not to sign an experienced forward is now looking like it is going to bite us on the ass.I suspect BGs job is safe for the season unless we get sucked into a relegation fight, but if we do surely even Wael would not let him continue.Im afraid Ben Garner is a youth coach and he should go back to doing that.

Yeah I have faith and I believe we are much better than last season. Silly mistakes have cost us a few points so far but expect that to come to an end and we will continue to improve. Players will get better individually and as a team we will do better.
Compare this match with our first match vs Ipswich in the cup and tell me you don’t see progress.
I’m sure you will remind me that we lost both matches and you are totally right. My point is about what the managers project is and how I have faith in that project delivering over time.

Would you rather be bored to tears by GC again? At least we can see they're trying to play the right way with technically good players.
Unusual watching him have to learn as he goes, and he definitely should make changes and subs sooner - but I'm still satisfied

Yes, of course. Steady improvement every game, and all top teams played, except Portsmouth.

Not convinced but he’s done enough so far this season not to get the chop. We’ve had some tidy wins but far from enough.
Big red flags though, and extrapolate our form from the first ten and you’re looking at narrowly avoiding relegation.
GC style monthly league tables for me with targets based on the opposition. If he doesn’t perform, he should go.

Well he’s had his 10 league games. That most of us said we would give him before judging him and he has fallen short of expectations, he’s got his own squad playing his style of football and it’s got us nowhere. I am afraid we are stuck with him and will be lucky to stay up this season. For me he has to go

3-3-4 is a perfectly reasonable start to a season.

3-3-4 is a perfectly reasonable start to a season. especially when we have played 5 of the top six and only 2 of the bottom 7

All about opinions really, but I found tonight’s performance boring, like most of our games this season. I wasn’t a fan of GC but the big difference I see, is that we won under him & we don’t under BG, but we live in hope that he can get results.

I would certainly not want to go back to GCs style of football but we have gone from one extreme to another.I asked the question who still has faith in BG,which you do.My point is that it seemed delibarate policy not to sign a replacement for JCH and I know that he was a one off.But without a lump up front there seems to be no point in hoofing it upfield, which we still resort too.I think BGs tactics may work well on the training pitch but in div 1 they are found wanting.

He needs more time, we are a work in progress and I wouldn't think about getting rid of him unless we showed strong signs of decline and in relegation zone.

For me as it is I think how he performs is irrelevant.
As long as we don't get relegated I'll be happy to drift through this season and get it done without any dramas or worries. Have a proper go next season when the fans are back.

There looks no direction the football is incredibly slow which makes our passing totally ineffective. Substitutions are shocking and we play football in the wrong half. We will be lucky to win 15 games this season I’m afraid

Yes I have faith in the manager and luckily I think our board do as well. We've effectively started from scratch this season with a rookie management team, pretty much a new squad and a completely new style of play. There are definite signs of improvement and as others have pointed out we've played a lot of the top sides already, I'm still definitely in the Garner in camp

Overall it’s been a reasonable start to the season results-wise & no need to panic IMO.
Performances are leaving a lot to be desired though, for me, and it would be nice to see Garner switch to a plan B at times.
