Tisdale had more of a chance than Barton has had IMO. You can't ignore the window. However I will admit that Barton's ability to get anything out of this squad probably highlights that Tisdale could/should have been given longer. Then again, he still would have taken us down - so it really doesn't make any difference Why is the window definitely Tisdale fault? Could be he did all he could. TW arguably far more culpable given his actual job is recruitment. Not saying it's definitely his fault, just if you're saying that he's had less of a chance than Barton - I disagree. Tisdale had 19 games, just short of 3 months and a transfer window. Barton has had 9 games, 1 month and 0 window. IMO, Tisdale had much more of a chance. So far anyway.

Tisdale was a sh** appointment from day one. Barton has a proven record at this level at a smaller club, presumably with smaller budget. His teams were hard to beat and played nice football. I dont think you can blame Barton for this awful team. Good managers find a way to get results. Tisdale barely had a chance. looks like Barton will get 500+ games whatever happens. We lost 6-1 to Accrington under Tisdale, not sure many managers would get much of a chance after such a loss, now we're only losing by the odd goal so there's been some progress!

Equally we need a statement from WAEL . Its ok blaming managers but we need accountability at the top like any managerial structure. And if WAEL is just a nice human being which he clearly seems but his money is being drained . WE need to know his intentions . Do he intend to build a stadium ?. Will he give the club a very good budget in div 4 ?. What does he feel about a club losing 4 million a year in div one ?. Can we cope with division one football and the strains it puts on resources ?. For all we know he could be shell shocked by how much the club is losing and the negative outcome this could have long term. maybe a lower leauge side paying low leauge wages is more manageable . So I would like to hear the vision and see if Barton fits it first.

If you listen to his interview tonight he had a meeting immediately after tonight's game with Wael and Starmes and they have already agreed the way to go forward over the last few weeks. starnes needs to be sacked he is part of the problem not the solution, just look at his office when he does interviews its a right state it just sums up the state of the club atm

Grow up ffs,why wish that on someone who tried his best but wasn’t up to it. Sorry are you throwing stones in your greenhouse again? Dobson never managed again after his failure with us, Garner doesn’t deserve a chance after his abject failure, Dave Penney definitely deserved another chance. Garner sank the team he took control of, stripped morale and set up for the season with three strikers. Two who had barely ever played league football. Yes and he will probably learn from his mistakes,I would like to see BG prove us all wrong one day even though he got it terribly wrong here and I wasn’t happy losing TC or TN or LS but we carry on until JB or whoever gets this club rocking again.

Say what you like about Barton's form so far though but his situation is in principle no different to that which DC inherited. If we go down, which looks likely and has done for a long while, lets give him a chance to assemble a squad and see what he can do. (before anyone says it, completely different to Garner who ripped apart a promotion fighting team and assembled the crap we watch every week right now) FWIW I am behind Barton. That said I do feel we should have more points on the board than he’s managed to acquire thus far. We’ve had some extremely easy games yet failed to pick up points. My biggest gripe is that the Barton lovers refuse to put any criticism his way whatsoever - and that’s utterly laughable. Is he entirely to blame - 100% no. Should we have picked up more points than we have since his appointment - 100% yes. I think that is fair. Looking at the fixtures, the teams we had to play I'd have thought we beat some of the teams around us. But we haven't done that all season had we really, we have been sh**e from day 1. Surely if professional footballers are good enough, the can go out and do a job. They are accountable showing they were not.

And amazingly Garner has a better PPG ratio this season than Tisdale or Barton He might well do but it was still relegation form. 1.1 points per game would have given us 50 points and enough to stay up this year. And he’d played the top 5 in the league and not lost to a team in the bottom half so fair to think he would have improved on that return. Whether we should have employed someone to break up Coughlans team and replace it with youngsters we could coach and sell for a profit is hard to defend. However, having done that it’s becoming clear Garner was the vest man to get the most from that squad. I like Barton but watching up play hoofball with a squad bought in to play a completely different way, is depressing.

From my perspective I can't understand why he's sticking religiously with Hanlan and Westbrooke, and have found some of his substitutions very odd, but I think his hands are tied with the squad. The lack of both quality and depth is criminal.

He might well do but it was still relegation form. Possibly, but the people that have followed have not made them any better. Perhaps BG could have got more out of his players over a longer period. Maybe he would have done something about the striker situation had he got to January All ifs, buts and maybes and that cant be changed How could a man who thought every game we lost was somebody else or something else’s fault, but never his own team selection, tactics or judgment be seriously expected to have done better? The bloke was an absolute fraud, and as I’ve said before if chief shithead of the Sh1!heads had taken the job with the purposeful aim of sending us to oblivion they couldn’t have done a better Dam job than Garner. I absolutely detest him for what he’s done to our club and I detest his cheerleaders for enabling him too. I’m not accusing you of being one of those BTW!

Tommy and his little tiny teeny Chuffing weeny black book of profiles, can leve through that little red door 🚪. Ben enjoy your last and only good wage you’ll get out of football. Wael grow a pair and speak up, scilence on the terraces making things easy? ?? Apologies to both Mr Tisdale, and Mr Barton for these blemishes on your managerial career, neither your pairs fault, (not a dig but you won’t care or hurt like us gasheads). Where are we going from here? I won’t sleep well tonight.... again. Need these clocks to change to get a lie in. Sorry to break it to you but the clocks are going forward so that will be an hour less in bed ..... Darker mornings my friend. Just like the darker days a head.

Shhhhhhhh don’t you dare mention a bad word against Barton Tisdale was a sh** appointment from day one. Barton has a proven record at this level at a smaller club, presumably with smaller budget. His teams were hard to beat and played nice football. I dont think you can blame Barton for this awful team. Fleetwood have a top half wage budget and training facilities that in this league, are probably only bettered by Sunderland’s. Fleetwood are not as small as they might appear to be.

I do wonder if we could drop again next season tbh My worry will be the contracts signed, normally after a terrible season you get rid of the dead wood. Problem we have is all the dead wood are contractually here another year or 2. On that basis, I agree that this squad would struggle in L2.
