He might well do but it was still relegation form. 1.1 points per game would have given us 50 points and enough to stay up this year. And he’d played the top 5 in the league and not lost to a team in the bottom half so fair to think he would have improved on that return. Whether we should have employed someone to break up Coughlans team and replace it with youngsters we could coach and sell for a profit is hard to defend. However, having done that it’s becoming clear Garner was the vest man to get the most from that squad. I like Barton but watching up play hoofball with a squad bought in to play a completely different way, is depressing. We'd lost 3 consecutive home games under Garner with Fleetwood, who've hardly set L1 alight this season, seemingly scoring at will in his last home game, there's no way he was going to continue getting 1.1 pts per game.

You weren’t happy loosing Tom Nichols? Are you having a laugh? Guy should of been bombed out after season one. Oh yes,BH,JA and Daley couldn’t lace his boots Hanlan has got 9 goals in a fraction of the games The player riles me right up every time he falls over and leaves me begging for him to be taken off the pitch but he is still our top scorer (or close to it) even if he has been shocking this calendar year. The other players are young and are a season or two away from taking off I reckon. But it was a mistake of shocking proportions to put all our eggs in one basket with them both. I liked TN and was gutted it didn't work out but his record at Rovers was diabolical and made Luke James not seem too bad. I'm also pleased to see him do well at Crawley. But I expect in time those lads will come good.

Tisdale was a sh** appointment from day one. Barton has a proven record at this level at a smaller club, presumably with smaller budget. His teams were hard to beat and played nice football. I dont think you can blame Barton for this awful team. Fleetwood have a top half wage budget and training facilities that in this league, are probably only bettered by Sunderland’s. Fleetwood are not as small as they might appear to be. OUR manager left them because they wanted to reduce costs and have a team of kids and in his opinion they didn’t match his ambitions. Presumably he’d see the relative stature of us and them a whole lot different than you! Fleetwood might have a nice training ground but a big club in this league they certainly are not!

In the summer whatever league we are in a striker would be an absolute must for me.

Why did we ever let him go.is he still available?get him back before one of the thousands of professional clubs snap him up

We were relegated the day Wael, Starnes and Widdrington decided Coughlan didn't fit into their idealogy and decided to replace him with a total charlatan. I hope the people whining about being 4th under Coughlan are satisfied.

Garner should have gone before the start of the season, after taking us from 2nd in the league to the bottom of the table last season. He showed he was not good enough. Anyone that thinks this is anything to do with Joey needs there head read. BG and TW broke up a team that was 4th in L1 ( forget all the over achieving rubbish, just keep with facts we were) and replaced them with this rubbish.PT came in failed and had no fight and looked lost but had a window to try and fix it, JB has had no window and shown more fight and knowledge then both before him. I said this before, BG is without doubt our worst manager ever.

With the squad he had Garner would have kept us up but I get why he is still getting a kicking on here. The playes were his not Tisdales or Bartons. The board should have stuck with him,if relegated sacked him then. Now Div 2 and down to Barton to buid a team that can put pride back onto our name. Sorry but that is rubbish. There was nothing to suggest that BG would have kept us up.He took us from 4th in L1, had a chance to completely rebuild that winning squad to fit in with his style 🤪🧐🥴 and f**ked up.He was a dull, un-interesting,souless and un-inspiring "quote" filled modern day football coach. Awlful...

I do hope that all the players we signed in the last two windows, whilst the salary cap was still in operation, had it written into their contracts that their weekly wage would be reduced to the expected L2 average in the event they underperformed to such an extent that resulted in relegation. Clearly, based on last night, playing for the shirt is not incentive enough to get them to even bother to be competitive but maybe the potential drop in their income might buck their ideas up.

I hope the people whining about being 4th under Coughlan are satisfied. Why? Surely you watch football to be entertained not just grind out points? Plus JCH was always going to leave us, would GC have been able to get a similar goalscorer in or would we still be in the same position without a goal scorer. The big issue was tearing up what GC had built rather than trying to just improve on it with an experienced manager.

This club is run like a downs league side from top to bottom, now we have a manager and his staff who won’t let this happen any longer, relagation ain’t the end of the world has long as Wael backs JB all the way, because in my opinion it’s time for change not only players wise but throughout. Wael must consider getting rid of the likes of TW,MS etc,let JB set out his stall and Wael back him,yes it will cost Wael but it will be less costly than sacking managers every few months and be the laughing stock of the entire football league.
It’s a big risk but one worth taking because we’re do we go from here.

Hey I'm not ever gonna be the sort of person to tell you so, but... I posted this on September 19th:
How long do we give BG? (Thread) Matthew 7:5
" 'You hypocrite! First, remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.'
Well, I've tried... BG should not be our manager at this time. We've wasted another week before transfer window closes and we could have invested more time and money in a different candidate with proven record in this division.
All I've (and others) have ever wanted to do, was remove the rose tinted splinter in some of your eyes."
Many here wanted to give BG a season or longer. Maybe out of blind loyalty, which I admire.
Even watching BG matches were awful, he had no idea in tactics or how to change a game, slow to react. His acquisitions on paper were generally encouraging, but on grass were appalling.
As ever we had our chances, we didn't take them when presented and find ourselves where we are.....5 years of improvement on improvement to get to a promotion challenging team to something now that won't amount to a hill of beans.
It's been woeful all round.
