I agree. However, in terms of Barton being dealt a poor hand, Jimmy Floyd seems to have made an impact at Burton in a short space of time although I cant remember if he was in during the last window?

What are you giving him credit for if we go down? I have said it a thousand times before and to be honest I'm bored bloody stiff of saying now, it's not his team it Garners, if it was Bartons team my views would be different but its not. I believe in giving the bloke a chance with his own team, if he fails then then fair enough but at least give him a chance to see what he can do. It was Barton's team the moment he signed his contract. His job was (and still is!) to manage the players for the best results possible. He has done a pretty lousy job to date and most of his effort seems to have gone into ensuring that he is not blamed for relegation. He has had plenty of time to win the necessary number of points to avoid going down, many games against very weak opposition. I don't care who recruited the players, they are good enough to stay up.

He bought in 9 new players if I remember correctly. He had a chance to come in and rectify the problem by recruiting in what was required. We didn't need 9 new players but 2 strikers should have been bought in but not to get any is why we deserve to go down. The defence has made howlers but most league 1 defences do we just have none to take the opportunities, well we do sort of but he dosent get picked. Under Garner Daly use to hound the opposition defence into mistakes and we scored from this. Now he just sits on the bench or gets 10 minutes which is not going to be long enough as we are usually chasing or beaten by then.
