Not sure what say about that performance. Just got got back from a 200 mile round trip. Chinese takeaway and a drink has helped, but in summary we were sh&t, and our fans were quiet too unusually. All in all just really disappointing. Apparently if you think of 3 positives at the end of each day you will live a happier life. Only takes 3 weeks to rewire your brain. So you will need one more Legas. 200 miles Respect to you. š

Nicholson seems to get injured a lot. Anybody know what is wrong with him and what was his injury record like pre Rovers? Hopefully this is the case and we don't here next week that he's off for a precautionary scan or X-ray, as it seems an odd game to miss.

Another low point for the club, the day we couldn't compete with Forest Green. It just proves how bad this league and how poor we have become FGR top of the pile š±

We lost a game, Iām determined to not get bent out of shape over it. Winning and losing is a narrow perspective. Itās so much bigger than that. Rovers represents who I am and where Iām from. Itās my Journey, itās our Journey. We lost a game.

I was about to say something similar. 'Move on'? It's a soundbite, meaningless in the context of our position in L2 with promotion looking an unlikely prospect. The thing is, Rich always does this stuff. Supports the current manager with blind faith and eternal optimism, using the power of positive thought to turn things around. When it goes belly up, he condemns the previous incumbents as losers, and 'moves on'. No doubt when Joey leaves, he too will become a loser, and Rich will transfer his loyalties to whoever is then in charge. It's so repetitive and pointless. This is repetitive. As always you incorrectly suggest that I use positive thought to turn things around. Positive thought alone will not bring success. What I know is that successful people I know nearly always are positive and full of energy. As it happens, I look forward with optimism and avoid continual regular and destructive negative thinking. Its easy to find negative chat - itās all around us in life. As I said, I avoid it. Feel great with it not in my life. Sorry you find it pointless. If I was you, I would let it go, stop looking back and move on. Just move on past my musings - they are clearly not good for you.

All this doom and gloom is so depressing. Only a month ago I personally doubted our ability to avoid relegation into Level 5 againā¦at least now we look capable of mid table position and for that we should all be truly grateful. IMHO Level 5? Thanks for a much more palatable version of ānon leagueā

How about 7th? I think most of us would take a play off spot even before the season started. We seem to be having a shocking run of luck injury wise, losing Kilgour and, most likely, Grant this week for 6+ weeks. That's now a full team all our injured. 73 points required for seventh last season 58 the season before (after 37 game, scales up to 72) 71 in 18/19 75 in 17/18 70 in 16/17 75 in 15/16 So on average you need 73 points to get into the playoffs. To get that we need 50 points from 27 games. 1.85 PPG As a reminder for everyone about what that looks like in reality, if we play six games in a month and lose one then we need three wins and two draws from the other five to get the 11 points required....

Another low point for the club, the day we couldn't compete with Forest Green. It just proves how bad this league and how poor we have become FGR top of the pile š± I guess a lot is 'tongue in cheek' but we do really need to get over the whole 'FGR are just a village pub team' thing. Think what you like about Dale Vince but he has moved the club far beyond those days and has a plan to take them higher still. I bear them no grudge, it's great to see because it proves what is possible. In a parallel universe there is probably someone at the helm of the Gas doing the same and preparing the club for a move into a shiny new stadium as they challenge at the top of League 1. IMHO, this league is not bad. What has happened is an improvement of the standard in the upper echelons of non-league bought about largely by the introduction of 2 up 2 down from the Football League. This has led to a gradual levelling out at Leagues 1, 2 and National League levels. Only a handful of clubs in tier 5 are not full-time professional and generally the clubs that have come up over the past 15 years or so have gone on to do well with several moving into League 1, some even venturing as far as the Championship. It can be done if you just get the right roll of the dice and FGR have thrown a lovely 7 whereas we have been seeing snake-eyes.

Injuries and discipline are hurting us now. The game went as I expected. Stick kilgour in there and Thomas out right to give cadden some defensive duties and it's a different game. Moving forward we could really struggle down our right, we desperately need a right sided center back and again, a mobile physical target man, someone who can run in behind. I believe we are a match for any team including the top sides, but we need to get players back fit and start putting players back in their natural positions.

JB has shown his naivety again over the injury crisis. He blamed previous personnel for the high level of injuries for failure to concentrate on prevention, but injury levels remain the same under his methods and personnel.
My guess is that football is a physically demanding game with a natural level of attrition that you can only affect marginally. Maybe JB was lucky himself in his career and this translates to his over optimism.

In Barton's post match interview he described us as being 'miles away, absolutely miles away' from the top teams in the division.
Well unfortunately mate its the side you built so why is that? 6 league wins from 19.

Not sure you could do much about most injuries we're picking up lately, unless our terrible luck continues you can see by next Feb/March we're going to more fit players than squad places. It's all frustrating as with a reasonably injury free squad we could put out a decent side.

There is a long way to go yet and a lot will depend on the January window. We know what we are crying out for, but will money be made available ? To be honest I donāt think money is necessarily the problem - for whatever reason, we just donāt seem to be able to attract decent strikers to come and play for us . . .
