With 30 points left to play for how many do you think realistically will we get? I've looked through the tough run in we have and I've come up with 14! Would 71 points even be enough to scrape into the play offs?

I’ve been saying for months now I believe we’ll make the top 3 and I’m sticking with that. tbh I don’t fancy us to win the play off should we end up there but I think making them is the minimum we’ll achieve this season. If we lose in the play offs but go out fighting I’ll be happy with the job Joey has done tho. The only worry I have should we miss out on promotion is losing some of the players we currently have that are clearly to good for this league, I’ve not enjoyed watching rovers this much since DC at his best

But they have to show their talent by getting us promoted! It's such a precarious situation as in if we go up we keep this group and grow but if we don't will it be another rebuild after the rebuild we have done during last summer??? JB deserves credit though as he did promise us a hard working attractive brand of players who run their socks off for the quarters and its all come together since the turn of the year so give him credit for that as I admit I had my doubts during December.

I’ve felt we would win promotion ever since the Walsall game where we were down to 10 for 60 minutes but showed great determination and belief and won 1-0. Since then I haven’t looked back and neither have our squad.

We have so many teams to play that's around us near the top so it's all down to us now! We have 5/6 6 pointer games and there's no excuses if we fail! Question is can we beat the top teams now because we haven't turned any of them over this year so far.

It’s April that’s the challenge and will sort out whether we are good enough or not. There may also be an negative reaction as a result of JB being away with his impending court case causing some disruption to the day to day running.
March Colchester H - Win Northampton A - Draw Carlisle A - Draw
April Bradford H - Draw Tranmere A - Lose Salford H - Win Port Vale A - Lose FGR H - Win Rochdale A - Draw
May Scunthorpe H - Win Being optimistic 16 out of 30 for me - will it be enough ?

Why are so many predicting us to struggle vs Bradford, they have nothing to play for with a tinpot manager.

In our run in to 3rd spot and promotion in 2015/16 we also played Northampton and Carlisle away from home in the last 10 matches. We drew 2-2 at Northampton and Lost 3-2 at Carlisle.
The only other points we dropped we in the 0-0 draw at Stevenage
7 wins 2 draws 1 defeat and 23 points

I worry about Exeter, Newport & to a lesser extent Mansfield. I know Mansfield finally lost and are now behind us in the table but they have three games in hand. Also FGR maybe on a bad run but they are still 9 points clear of 4th with a game in hand. For them to mess up from the position they were in would be as bad as our own capitulation in the 99/00 season, even if they do still end up in the play offs.
We will do well to pick up many points away to Northampton, Tranmere & Port Vale. Our record away to teams above us is not that good. At per the current table we haven't beaten anyone away who are higher than 13th.
Our form would have to drop off dramatically to miss out on the play offs now. Can we make the top three? Of course, but I think we need to see a couple of teams above us to drop off in form and if we can avoid defeat in our remaining away games whilst winning the home ones.

March Colchester H - Win Northampton A - Win Carlisle A - Win
April Bradford H - Win Tranmere A - Win Salford H - Win Port Vale A - Win FGR H - Win Rochdale A - Win
May Scunthorpe H - Win
Just being optimistic and the team won't believe anything else, they'll be going into every match the same.

With 4 games to come against teams in and around us in the table, it’s got to be seen as both a negative and a positive.
It’s a negative in that it means we clearly have some good teams to play which means tough matches but also a positive as that means it very much leaves our fate in our own hands and as JB said yesterday, you’d be mad to bet against us.
We are very much in form at the moment and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us pick up 20+ points from the remaining games and that would leave one of the auto spots very much in our reach.

The run of games in April will be what defines the season. We have enough opportunities to take points off promotion rivals and if we were to replicate our form of the last 10 games and win 6, draw 2, lose 2 we would finish on 77 points.
Saying that I can’t see us dropping as many as 10 points at the moment!

I think the minimum we will get is two points per game for the rest of the season. That makes it 77.
Clearly that will be enough for the playoffs.
I suspect we may get more than 77. 80 would be perfect.
Last season Bolton finished third with 79 points. I believe that this is achievable now.

I think the teams we want to avoid are those fighting for their lives. I think I'd rather play a team in and around us.
Thankfully when we do play Scunthorpe, their fate is already sealed
