I do wonder if his family might move to Bristol??
Must be really difficult being away from young kids
And isn’t another on the way??
Would be a sign of intent if he settled in Bristol.
Otherwise I feel a better offer nearer home and he’ll be gone

I read Joe's book not long after he joined us as I, like many others, did not have a particularly high opinion of him as a person though in football terms I was quite happy to have him here. By the end of the book i had a much better understanding of the man , what events shaped him, and what he had to do to survive in a world that I, and i suspect many others on here, have no experience of, fortunately! Certainly not your average footballers story and well worth a read if only to get a better understanding of the man.

Just ordered the book ….. 3p more for the hardback than the paperback! £7.40 . Nice, you wont regret it. You'll have a different and more positive outlook on the bloke. Also highly recommend for anyone who is boycotting rovers while he is manager. I’ve got my copy on order from our Library. It will be free to read. And it’s supports our local libraries! 😀 UTG!

I guess loads of people who work away from home do it? Being a football manager I assume he gets plenty of days/nights off when he can return home? The other side to it is would a mother of 4 inc a new born really want to leave all her family behind to start a new like in a new town most would insist their husband/partner got a new job nearer home!

Im the same with funding City82 Ltd - Going to watch the Killers at the Ricoh next month rather than at Trashton a few days earlier Well that depends on whether people want to be actually informed on their views towards someone they dislike or want to just leave it to their view of someone made up in their head from headlines. Agree with City82!

Agree, and in all honesty, before he joined Rovers I didn't like the bloke at all, thought he was a clown. But after seeing how be speaks and how he shows a clear passion when joining rovers, I changed my mind pretty quickly. After reading the book, that only enforced my change of thought.

It's not as though he's off on an oil rig for months on end. I would imagine that he gets home a couple of times a week, so he isn't going to miss any developmental stages of the new arrival.

No chance he’ll go there but I’m pretty sure the first job he gets offered further up the pyramid he will jump ship. He’s made no secret of wanted to manage at the highest level he can . He’ll want to do it as quick as he can as well. Yep, agree with you totally. I like the way he sets the team up, the players he brought in have been excellent. I am sure he will go on and be successful at a bigger club. I am just enjoying the performances while he is here.

Having just watched Burnley beat Everton, I can't see Everton staying up now. Not with the fixtures left. As Joey is a boyhood Everton fan but also a big fna of Dyche's he must have had split loyalties. But Everton if are a championship team (which I'm convinced they will be) it made me think it makes the chances of Joey managing Everton one day more realistic. Obviously Everton might go straight back up if they went down so then wouldn't be likely but if they didn't and Joey is still doing well.. Sean Dyche now sacked as Burnley manager. 9 days after this win. 9 days is a long time in football apparently. Big mistake by them I would suggest.

Thanks to Man U there's now little chance of them staying up with Dyche in charge, so they may as well see if someone else can save them.
