Job at Burnley now for Joe? Dyche now free to join City in the summer? I hope not, he's better than that. Can't dislike the bloke.

Why would he go to a bottom half championship club when he could attract half of the lower half of the prem and the top 4 of the championship? I could see Bruce getting sacked at WBA and him going there at the very least. Southampton might fancy a change too. He can afford to sit back and choose his next move.

I guess you may be right in the end (because that’s how they all end) but why on earth would Southampton want to get rid of Hassenhutl? He’s done a good job there, equal to Dyche at least and is their longest serving manager for some time. Serious question. UTG!

If we go up it could be Bart’s to Burnley, they might fancy Taylor from Exeter though

Joey will be with Rovers for the long term. There is so much the manager would like to achieve with the club and immediate priority is obviously an immediate return to Division1. Joey will make the blue half of the city proud and especially when watching the Gas inside plush new stadium! Not fantasy as real progress is being made. So us Gasheads are led to believe. UTG.

Club comes along and offers him 3 times the salary and twice the budget, he's gone.

Can we just agree on partially disliking Dyche then? as he did have a two year playing career with the red heathens.. No, he is a top bloke. Burnley have made a really odd decision to get rid of Dyche. Was it Dyche’s decision to let Wood leave? I suspect not. It was a crazy decision given where Newcastle were in the table at the time. Dyche is clearly a good manager and deserves for his next job to be in the Prem in my opinion. He’ll probably have to settle for a top end Championship club, though.

The new board love the bloke, it’s just transfer funds that at the moment are preventing anything other than mid table. That’s fine wouldn’t want to mortgage yourself so much that you become insolvent.

Having just watched Burnley beat Everton, I can't see Everton staying up now. Not with the fixtures left. As Joey is a boyhood Everton fan but also a big fna of Dyche's he must have had split loyalties. But Everton if are a championship team (which I'm convinced they will be) it made me think it makes the chances of Joey managing Everton one day more realistic. Obviously Everton might go straight back up if they went down so then wouldn't be likely but if they didn't and Joey is still doing well.. Is this a joke? Everton have principles so would never appoint JB and the fans unlike ours wouldnt stand for it

I expect if Barton ended up there at some point it would be similar to here, with a loud minority protesting until results turn favourable.

This is so ignorant. Duncan Ferguson was wrongly sent to prison. He made mistakes as a young man but spent his entire life working tirelessly for charity refusing any publicity for it. Even now he does so much for the local community.
How can you compare him with someone who beats his wife up, stubs cigars in players eyes, bullies and abuses people constantly and compares results to the holocaust.
Any decent football club and any decent football fans would not tolerate Joey Barton. Duncan Ferguson is one of the nicest men in football.

So Rovers aren't a decent football club and the fans aren't decent either? Go and support someone else then, sounds like Everton (whose supporters, and current and former players, aren't without fault) might be the team for you

I do support Everton and their fans dont idolise men who beat up women so yep good idea. Bye then. Ferguson has other charges too, apart from the clear headbut that saw him serve time. Everton fans are generally decent, I agree, but let's not pretend they don't taunt their neighbours with Hillsborough references to this day. Principles in football can be pretty selective can't they ?

Ferguson was a young man and he turned everything around. As for Hillsborough Everton have stood shoulder to shoulder with Liverpool every day since Hillsborough.

I've been to some matches, the gestures and songs are either related to Heysel or Hillsborough. Neither particularly tasteful, but as an Everton fan yourself I'm sure you'll find a way of excusing that behaviour
