Having just watched Burnley beat Everton, I can't see Everton staying up now. Not with the fixtures left. As Joey is a boyhood Everton fan but also a big fna of Dyche's he must have had split loyalties. But Everton if are a championship team (which I'm convinced they will be) it made me think it makes the chances of Joey managing Everton one day more realistic. Obviously Everton might go straight back up if they went down so then wouldn't be likely but if they didn't and Joey is still doing well..

No chance he’ll go there but I’m pretty sure the first job he gets offered further up the pyramid he will jump ship. He’s made no secret of wanted to manage at the highest level he can . He’ll want to do it as quick as he can as well.

(Not that it's anywhere near being all his fault!).

Yes he will surely manage at a higher level but i suspect that he will wait for the right job rather than the first one

He managed 2 clubs now so knows the difference between an owner he can get along with and get what he wants to an owner where he had less say.

I think he’ll want to get us to the championship before leaving.
But if the investment in the club doesn’t match his ambition he will be off sooner a la DC.

I wonder which manager has the biggest 'jump' up from one appointment to the next. As for a jump down Mark Hughes must be close although I guess he had a break before dipping his toes back in the water

Everton? No, Barton will at some point swap football for the West End and take the part of Julie Andrews, he's been dropping hints for months!

I am not sure it was the lack of investment that saw DC exit - yes he was getting chirpy about the fact that selling your best players and not investing in infrastructure was making it a challenge for him, but I am pretty sure the "mutual" decision to leave was mostly based on the fact that our results were poor and we were looking at sliding into the relegation places.

Fair. I think he was fed up beyond any recourse though and this was feeding into the teams performances, thus the decision to part ways.

More likely he'll be the Burnley manager in the Champ one day. The only thing that will keep him here if successful is concrete (and steel) evidence of a new stadium.

The way Everton are imploding, not out of the realms of possibility he could manage them.....in league 1. Its happened to other top clubs that went into freefall.

I've sent a reference to Everton telling them what a calm, kind natured and highly skilful coach he is.

He’ll want to do it as quick as he can as well. I disagree. I have just finished his autobiography and I can't see him jumping ship just because a bigger club comes in. Everton is a different story but otherwise, he will only go if pushed or he gets the job done in terms of what he has set as his target.

No doubt in my mind either if clubs such as: Blackburn, Blackpool, Bolton, Preston et al were looking for a new manager in the future, JB would be a candidate, particularly if we were to gain promotion.
