Just spending a boring evening and got thinking how much I miss him managing the club. He came in at such an important time when we were all at each other’s throats and it felt like our very existence was on the line. My questions are:
1. Do you think he’ll ever come back? 2. Would you trade him for Barton right now? 3. What was his biggest mistake as rovers manager?

The man is an absolute legend in my eyes. I’ve never seen a manager with so much love and passion for the football club. He understood the fans and our club and he would always be welcome back as manager. This isn’t the right time though.

Was interviewed on Radio Stoke today and commenting on a 3-0 defeat to Peterborough said ,'We'll dust ourselves down and go again'.

They say never go back and more often than not it doesn’t work out. He did a great job at the Gas for the most part and went through something over the last year that no-one should have to go through. I’m so pleased for him that he got such a special promotion with Vale and hope he keeps them up this year. For Vale, as with us, 20th would be a perfectly respectable finish.

I agree but he is a better man than Barton will ever be.

Sure we’ve done this to death a hundred times.
No. No. Some poor interview comments re: his boss(es) and wasting plenty of good money on absolute dross.

What was his biggest mistake as rovers manager? Trusting that WAQ had a great plan to push the club to the next level and letting it affect him when he realised he didn’t!

Good luck to the bloke but he's been and gone. Ask Walsall if they'd have him back and it's 100% no. Doing OK so far at Vale this year. Can we end the discussion now

Replacing Elliott and Disley with Tunnicliffe and Blizzard! I didn’t necessarily disagree with the two needing to be replaced but they were replaced with worse players, I think everyone can agree on that!

Wow what an idiot hahaha that was Trollope’s biggest mistake! I think DC was a similar problem tho, replacing good players with worse ones
