I think we're going to get a new GK, so one of Puddy and Mildenhall has to go if we bring someone in. Most of the squad could do a job in League 2, so I think the only certainties to leave are Balanta, Bell-Baggie, Clarke and Trotman i.e. those who haven't really played or are on high wages. Whether the others stay or go will depend on who we can bring in. I wouldn't be surprised to see either Blissett or Easter leave as I can't see either displacing Harrison or Taylor in the XI. I'd keep Monkhouse unless we can sign someone better. I'd also like to see Sinclair stay - while Mansell and Lines are ahead of him in the pecking order, Mansell is aging, and Sinclair has the kind of attitude that managers like DC love. I'd be disappointed to see Clarke go. I think there is a decent player in there. Can't quibble with the rest. Trotman would be ok back up but he doesn't have a good injury record. I like him too, but he hasn't really shone in the conference and we'll be hoping to make a tilt at promotion. I wouldn't mind seeing him renewed and sent out on loan to a decent conference side, but I don't want him as our sole backup to Lines (should he sign, and assuming that Sinclair/Mansell fight it out for the more defensive role).

Brutal:
Trotman impressed me in his games for us but I feel he may be surplus to requirements.
Bell-Baggie joined us as cover at a time when he was never likely to get in the squad bar a disaster. I wouldn't be against giving him a run of games in pre-season at all.
Blissett is not good enough for league two. Sorry he just isn't.
Seen nothing to convince me that Easter has descended from heaven to ride with us on a winged marshmallow to the sherbet kingdom as reported but he will be retained.
Honestly 50/50 on Balanta.
Controversially perhaps, I would keep Ollie. He's only 22 and has a goal in him, decent squad player with potential.
The rest should stay.

Puddy has to go. Too many rushes of blood to the head, strange decision making, confident in his area but I think a liability in league two. New keeper please. Blisset has to go, gangly Bambi peter crouch figure but with none of the skill.

I'm guessing we will see Lockyer playing along side Parkes next season assuming we keep them both. I'd like to keep Brown and Leadbitter. Mansell, Lines and Sinclair would be nice. Taylor and Harrison also. I like Monkhouse too but he's not getting any younger and I think he'd like to go north. I'd love to see whatever gets Lockyer away from full back

Mildenhall Clarke Blissett Baggie
Puddy is good enough at no.2 Defence is good enough if we keep them all. Mansell, Lines and Sinclair good in midfield - would want to get 1 more in to replace Clarke. Monky, Gos and Balanta are good enough as squad players but we should probably only keep 1 or 2 of them and bring in another 1 or 2. 1 x striker needed if Easter gets fit again. Harrison will be a 20 goal striker next season.
Not too much to change really.

Andy Monk has a part time job playing Calum in Corrie. I thought his part time job was max Rushden on soccer am or is that just me?

Lose Balanta, Baggie, Monkhouse, Mildenhall, Puddy.
Not sure how anyone can advocate losing Easter. Based on nothing I fear Ellis may leave us.
Will be interesting test of Clarkey's ability to be ruthless with what is clearly a very tight knit squad.
Think we need a new keeper, winger (x 2) and a striker (if Ellis leaves).

Puddy Clarke Gosling Taylor
If we have to lose a few these would be my choices, would be OK with any of them staying though depending on budget.

Why would Ellis leave now, I doubt any Div 1 club will take a punt on him and surely we can fend off any approaches from Div 2 clubs? If he does go to a Div 1 club then surely we'll get a decent fee anyway if Barnet are looking for a £1m for Akinde who's failed in the past?
Blisset's the big decision for me as I just can't see him making it in Div 2 when he's been little goal threat in the Conference, if DC doesn't think he'll make it this is where he needs to be ruthless as our lack of goals costs us our league status in the first place.

we need to release Puddy and get Sam Russell recently released by Forest Green in my honest opinion the best goal keep in the conference but has had a bust up with FGR manager. He has played for Rochdale,Scunthorpe and Darlington and in the league before they went bust, Fantastic shot stopper and brilliant at saving penalties. Any one else seen him play?

Owain Fon Williams is available on a free. He has been around a long time in League One and Two so maybe worth a look, if we are looking for a 'keeper.

I guess the club will start to offer the under 24 year old players a new contract to ensure a fee if they decide to leave.

Why has everyone got something against Puddy. Percentage wise more clean sheets than Mildenhall, has not let one through his legs, or thumped one in his own net, as Mildenhall did.

Easter will be going nowhere and once fit he will be hell of a player for us next season, did nobody see his performance on his home debut? Don't forget, he has been unlucky with his injuries.

Damn we have some ruthless fans. Players haven't even finished off the winners champagne yet and you're already throwing them overboard. Even Lord Sugar would wait a few days! You're just watered off that I beat you to stat a thread on it!
