Everybody is turning into tboner!! As bad as that could be...... I think Taylor struggled against the defence of Grimsby. I also think his attitude that has come to the fore over the last few days is questionable. That said, he may well get that extra yard in league two, that he might be able to exploit. Jury is still out. Cracking season for him though. judging from the photo he doesn't need an extra yard

If 'dressing room exploits' are a sign of a bad attitude then around 90% of footballers have a bad attitude. Even Adam Virgo yesterday said he'd seen a 'lot worse' than Taylor's picture. Which is scary... i think he was talking about the day he walked into a hall of mirrors

Who is actually out of contract this year? I can't imagine it would be very easy to ship out anyone still under contract so unless any bids come in for the better players I can see a lot more coming in than leaving.
Our weakest link on Sunday was probably our bench and there were only really two main squad members missing.

Plus The Beard, Easter and Trotman with medium term injuries. And Abdulai Baggie [who played 2 seasons in Lge 1 for Tranmere!] couldn;t even get 1 minute on the pitch. Only Lines on loan. Grimsby had 3 key players on loan. Just imagine if no players left or came [unlikely I know], and with 7 on a bench, that would be a pretty good bench next season.

Problem is Leadbitter & Clark are inferior to what was on the pitch, Blisset just never looks like scoring, he's a less injury prone Brunt, & Balanta bar his penalty as gone zilch since his Barnet goal, did he actually add anything to our attacking play on Sunday??
When Harrison and Gosling were on the pitch we were making chances once they were both subbed I don't think we had one decent shot? We may be stuck with Bliss next season but I can't see what anybody sees in Balanta who never looks interested, Anyinsah on his day was streets ahead of him.

Rickie Lambert 2006/07 8 league goals Nathan Blissett 2014/15 9 league goals
Obviously comparisons like these can get silly at times, but there are similarities. The fact is Blissett may come good, we just have to trust Clarke and Stewart on this.
Also he's under contract, so he's not going to leave no matter how much people want him to.

Even when Lambert came to us, completely out of shape, the guy oozed class. His touch and vision were as good as I have seen. Blissett hasn't been good enough.

We have a squad that just accumulated 91 points in a tough league. A team spirit that is second to none. For me no one should be leaving apart from Bell-Baggie. We need to add some creativity to the right side. You need squad players ie Clarke, Gosling, Leadbitter, Blissett, and Balanta all young and hungry with points to prove and areas in their game that will improve with coaching, stability and SUPPORT. For me signing Chris Lines and Nathan Arnold from Grimsby (or similar) is all we need for the time being. Minor tweaks only required for me as we have a squad that will run through walls for the shirt. Mentality, togetherness and winning attitude is back at the gas. If it aint broke don't fix it. And by the way WE ARE GOING UP SAY WE ARE GOING UP! UTG. Well said Norton, why would we want to break up a successful side, a little tweak here and there is fine, I Believe there is more to come from the likes of Gosling, Balanta and maybe Blissett. Leadbitter should do very well in L2.

Everybody is turning into tboner!! LOL. yes, funny isn't it. Last season the top scorers in the Lge did very nicely, yet now people are talking about getting rid of one the best strikers in this division. Last season Andre Gray got a massive £1m+ move to Brentford and Lee Gregory got a similar move to Millwall. John Akinde got a nice 2 yr contract at Barnet and Louis Moult got a fat move to Wrexham. But obviously we should let Taylor go.

I just can't see DC getting rid of many at all, Bell-Baggie, but he's only on a short term deal, maybe Trotman, just because of his injuries, apart from that I seriously think everyone else will still be here, you've got to remember that it's 7 subs on the bench instead of 5 and possibly extra games because of cups, JPT, Lge cup so I think we will see more coming in than leaving, also what about the youngsters Lucas,Greenslade and any others?

That's what I was thinking. After all we have a very capable young goalkeeper. DC was prepared to use him as cover, but then Puddy arrived. In fact is Puddy signed at all? He was only on non contract terms for the first half of the season at least. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/team/player-profile/kieran-preston/22

Fair play, I didn't get to see Joe much when he was here but when I did see him play he had a good game. I know he had big problems with hamstrings and I whilst it didn't work out for him at the Gas, I don't think he deserved the level of criticism he got.

I can imagine Taylor, Puddy, Beard, Monkey, and Gosling being offered new deals. Maybe Trots even. Interesting re cup games - when we were facing the FA Trophy I genuinely was expecting 5-8 games; and probably reaching the final. The reality of course was that we only had 3 Cup games all season, and it even worked against us as it gave us 2 weekends without any matches! It is impossible for us to have less than 3 cup matches this season, so we might as well plan for around 5 games. Hope we win the JPT.
