Sorry to sound like your Mum, but I kind of envisaged this to be a thread about players who would be retained, in terms of players who are out of contract now... Has anyone actually got a list of who is in contract and who isn't? Otherwise it's just a bloody rambling free for all about maybe letting Clarke go on loan, offering Gosling a new contract even though he has strange eyebrows, selling Vaughan Jones, and chopping Blissett up for Aldi burgers.

we need to release Puddy and get Sam Russell recently released by Forest Green in my honest opinion the best goal keep in the conference but has had a bust up with FGR manager. He has played for Rochdale,Scunthorpe and Darlington and in the league before they went bust, Fantastic shot stopper and brilliant at saving penalties. Any one else seen him play? Are you his agent or something?

I think we're going to get a new GK, so one of Puddy and Mildenhall has to go if we bring someone in. Most of the squad could do a job in League 2, so I think the only certainties to leave are Balanta, Bell-Baggie, Clarke and Trotman i.e. those who haven't really played or are on high wages. Whether the others stay or go will depend on who we can bring in. I wouldn't be surprised to see either Blissett or Easter leave as I can't see either displacing Harrison or Taylor in the XI. I'd keep Monkhouse unless we can sign someone better. I'd also like to see Sinclair stay - while Mansell and Lines are ahead of him in the pecking order, Mansell is aging, and Sinclair has the kind of attitude that managers like DC love. Easter will be going nowhere and once fit he will be hell of a player for us next season, did nobody see his performance on his home debut? Don't forget, he has been unlucky with his injuries. One mans unlucky is another mans injury prone.

I thought it was mentioned a while ago that Sinclair was offered a deal already ? I could be crazy and even more blind than the missus already thinks.

We have a squad that just accumulated 91 points in a tough league. A team spirit that is second to none. For me no one should be leaving apart from Bell-Baggie. We need to add some creativity to the right side. You need squad players ie Clarke, Gosling, Leadbitter, Blissett, and Balanta all young and hungry with points to prove and areas in their game that will improve with coaching, stability and SUPPORT. For me signing Chris Lines and Nathan Arnold from Grimsby (or similar) is all we need for the time being. Minor tweaks only required for me as we have a squad that will run through walls for the shirt. Mentality, togetherness and winning attitude is back at the gas. If it aint broke don't fix it. And by the way WE ARE GOING UP SAY WE ARE GOING UP! UTG.

Arnold is a leftie mind, I think it's a nailed on certainty that Dawson is returning for the right, I'd love to bring back ldv on the left as well but if that isn't an option I'd happily take Arnold, and McKeown

Puddy Clarke Gosling Taylor If we have to lose a few these would be my choices, would be OK with any of them staying though depending on budget. Taylor's a strange choice?! I'm just don't think he'll hack it at league 2 level and would prefer Easter up front with Ellis or the ever improving Blisset. Happy to be proved wrong. It's hypothetical though as DC will be looking to keep him I expect.

I don't think he'll cut it either but he'll definitely get an extension and he'll get his chance, I really hope he proves me wrong and scores 20+ again next year

Everybody is turning into tboner!! As bad as that could be...... I think Taylor struggled against the defence of Grimsby. I also think his attitude that has come to the fore over the last few days is questionable. That said, he may well get that extra yard in league two, that he might be able to exploit. Jury is still out. Cracking season for him though.

Everybody is turning into tboner!! Haha! Yes, I think the guy deserves a chance in league 2. Early this season the majority of people praised his all-round game but bemoaned his lack of goals. In the second half of the season he added goals. Not sure what more he could have done? Yes, he can improve when one-on-one with the keeper but the fact he has already shown improvement should give us hope he can do this, especially with Stewart to coach him. I like his attitude, he is always looking to get up defenders' noses, he doesn't give them a moment's rest and his fitness is good. It is also worth remembering he is not on big bucks, so a no-brainer to retain in my opinion.

He's proven himself on the whole with us.

Even Adam Virgo yesterday said he'd seen a 'lot worse' than Taylor's picture. Which is scary...
