Balanta Gosling Puddy Mildenhall Monkhouse Blissett although has another year to run Can't argue with them too much, they were some of the names I thought of. I like Monkhouse but whether he will cope in league two I'm not sure.

Yes I like Monkhouse too, he has done his bit for us this season but no room for sentiment if we are to get promoted again and I am sure that is how DC will see it too

Clarke Balanta Mildy Trotman Monky Baggie
I wouldn't be sorry to see Blissett transfer listed, and I'm on the fence with Gosling, he might be ok as a squad player
God knows what will happen with the few youth players we've got.
Any idea when this will be released??

Yes I like Monkhouse too, he has done his bit for us this season but no room for sentiment if we are to get promoted again and I am sure that is how DC will see it too done far, far,far more than just his bit for us this season. In general I'd said don;t break up a winning team and a winning dressing room. The issue for me is more value for money than ability. I think almost every squad player could be ok in Lge 2. But of course if they are not really value for money [e.g. balanta & trots maybe?] then it could be wise to let them go. We'll probaby never really know how much they earn but if any of the above were cheap we could keep nearly all of them. I REALLY rate Trotman, but hisinjury has been worrying of course. Let's not forget he was immense for the first half of the season. I would imaginethat Gos, Puddy would be on quite low wages.

Mildy has had a contract extension triggered apparently, so is already retained I thought that was only triggered by him playing 30 games, did yesterday's brief appearence count as his 30th? Regardless will he be happy to stay if DC can't promise him a ist place plus will he still be Conference money even though we're back in the FL If Mildy does stay then surely Puddy will make a decent No 2 as apart from yesterday's shocking start he's been fairly consistent. Did Leadbitter & Clarke sign 1 or 2 year contracts last summer? As far as Monkhouse is concerned I assume he could well have triggered a contract extension if he has one in his contract?? Apart from the retained list the interesting one will be whether DC's tries to sign Dawson?

Bal Gosling Puddy Mildenhall Monkhouse Blissett although has another year to run Would not keep Puddy personally. He doesn't fill me with any confidence, yesterday don't know if it were nerves but he had a stinker. His positioning was bad, and his kicking was terrible, every time they attacked I thought they would score. Either reinstall Mildenhall as number 1, or, get another keeper in. I.M.O!

As far as Monkhouse is concerned I assume he could well have triggered a contract extension if he has one in his contract?? The programme yesterday said that Clarke had a contract till 2016. However, it also listed him as a defender, so not too sure on that. Edit: also according to the BBC article at the time he does (so does Lockyer)www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26631211

No, I only used the word apparently because a Rovers fan on the other forum said it was in print, in a recent Rovers programme. I don't have that programme, so I have to trust his word that what he wrote is 1OO% accurate. I certainly don't imagine the programme is wrong. I'm not suggesting it is gossip, or room for a dig. I will find his post and post it here.

One moment in yesterdays game when Balanta sent Matty Taylor what should have been clean through showed me that he does have quality. IMO it will depend very much on his attitude which only DC will know. With a good pre season training and having been very much a squad player DC will know if there is something that could be useful in the higher division. I will totally trust DC with the retained list but personally I would like to see both Dawson and LDV signed to give us what could be two quality wingers in League 2. I would definitely release Olly Clarke and probably Trotman as well and if we signed two new wingers then Gosling as well. I wouldn't be overly surprised to see Monkhouse go but I think that will be his own decision rather than DC's. Can't see Baggie staying and at least one of Mildy or Puddy will go. Personally i would like to see the Grimsby keeper brought in as first choice.

I really do think that should me undervalue Monkhouse ability and role this year - he has played a vital role this year in my opinion and will be an asset next season

Gosling will shine - keep.
Monkhouse will be solid enough at least for the bench - keep.

Isn't the Beard and Matty Taylor's Contracts up now? Pray we keep them!
Need to ship out Gosling, Balanta and Puddy IMO.
Also, try and offload Nathan Blissett... Not good enough for Conference, let alone L2!
