I like the fact that we could be on similar footings and this will hopefully lead to closer league positions. Then the colour in the shape of rivalry will once again be a daily occurrence as it used to be. A future local derby with 35,000? Mouth watering. I really hope future generations of Bristolian's will not have to leave their city to see top flight football. It's a great vision! I just believe in Bristol football so much, it's just incredible that we haven't ever disturbed the top flight for bloody ages except our four seasons of excitement in the late 70s... What came after that I wonder..?

There seems to be a few people getting ahead of themselves here. This scenario can go a few ways other than successfully. There are no guarantees. It is exciting and a bit scary at the same time. It is pleasing though listening to the interview and the bits of information available, that this appears to be a thought out project.

My take on this momentous day in the history of OUR football club is for us all to be thankful that we can all play our part in this exciting journey we are going to be going on.Lets not forget all of our loyal Gasheads who are no longer with us who i'm sure would be overjoyed at today's news.......Our's and especially their support has been rewarded today..UTG..

Just watched chairmans interview on made in bristol, Latham asked him 2 key questions " new stadium & funds for darrell " he answered them very confidently in so many words if we lose court case then we will pay for the ground and " we're not here to watch league 2 football so we will be helping darrell out "

Funny, as a fair few of here have been on here since 1:30. Why aren't you on the Cardiff forum? I don't buy into the 'Cardiff are our real rivals' stuff. It's great being in a two club City, I like the banter, haven't been on here long, don't take it all too seriously but I probably should expect some abuse.... Wayhay! That's a keeper from the man who bragged of having over 5000 posts on the Cardiff forum.Twat.

He also owns Bristol rugby, Bristol flyers basketball, Bristol city women fc & some racing driver , as the saying goes too many eggs in one basket. Actually that is a worry. At least the seats are still red! I'm on here because my Dad, my Grandad and my great Grandad were all proud gasheads, I love the banter and being in a two club City. I've got mates in Newcastle and Portsmouth and as much as they hate Sunderland and Saints they admit it ain't quite the same as what we've got... And you ended up a Shithead?

What came after that I wonder..? ...an unbelievable fall from grace! Yet the seasons at the very bottom gave me my fondest memories. When the dust finally settled on all that we suddenly found ourselves with a team that cared so much and smaller crowds which gave better backing. Only those who really wanted to be there bothered to turn up and the backing the team got was the best I can remember.

Not sure I wanted to be at the Mem sometimes last season! I think it was Holloway who you use to say enjoy the good times as there's plenty of bad times in football, but the reverse is also true, the bad times last season make this season and hopefully futures seasons, all the more enjoyable when we're doing well again? As far as successful business men not making good football club owners at least are new owner has been involved in football, seems to have employed a decent Chairman and FD, plus he's shown Higgs & Bradshaw the door already!

He said the year in the fourth tier was the most fun he ever had supporting your lot. I didn't really believe him at the time, but having gone through last year, I can see what he meant, now.

I've never met you Big Jock, but I have this vision that no one would dare look at you in a pub! Seriously, you are not alone pal, I have just opened a can of Guiness that was lying around the kitchen, so to you & any other Gashead drinking alone tonight - CHEERS - remember as a Gashead you are never alone!
