Not pathetic, this wasn't a bank holiday and lots of occasional fans went last week and perhaps weren't tempted to come the week after, Crawley didn't bring as many as Cambridge either which didn't help, otherwise I thought that 3 sides of the ground were packet with noisy gasheads There also seemed to be a little more hype about getting a ticket before missing out for the Cambridge game. Saturday workers/ Saturday footballers stop some attending and Ithink losing at Carlisle deflated some people's bubbles. There has not been enough emphasis placed on the home record or having the nation's top scorer before games in the media by the club. The crowd was good (compared to other seasons) but disappointing that the club allowed a 20% drop from the previous game instead of upping the desire for tickets. Bearing in mind this was our second home game in just over a week it was a good crowd, TBH I'd sooner the crowd didn't advertise our home record or having the top goalscorer as the less pressure on the team & MT surely the better? I'd have thought the next two home games could be near sell outs, Exeter & Yeovil, as could the D&R game if we still have a chance of a top 3 position

I am confident that with a decent stadium and a well performing team Rovers can attract a stable crowd of 15k. The greater Bristol area is a large area of some 500k people and is growing. The teds are building a 27k seat stadium but were averaging 16-17k at the old AG. They must feel that they can fill their stadium or they wouldn't be doing it. Let's show some ambition, with new owners and some good marketing, there's no reason why, in time,we couldn't fill a 25k stadium. Should we reach the promised land of the Prem, then we'll need to be looking at 30-35k imo.
If we have a small club mentality, then we'll always be a small club.

The total urban area of Bristol is now classed at over 1 million, and most of the growth is towards the north of the city. We have a huge opportunity based at the UWE to attract that growth.
