That is quite clearly anything but the truth. He has several offers from other clubs, I think that's pretty obvious. [br OK, name them. FFS, if there really were it would be done & dusted. Hal K-R can't seem to get an English club. Get real - there's a surfeit of good players & clubs want their money's worth. Of course I can't name them FFS If you honestly don't think clubs have made offers for the top goalscorer in England, who is out of contract and so available on a free, when our own manager and a vast number of media sources suggest otherwise, then you need your head looked at frankly.

I'm terribly sorry - my sincerest apologies. I meant meaningful offers. Of course every Conference & L2 club would love him and probably a lot in L1. But on what terms? By the look of it not good enough to tempt MT into a decision. Look at Vardy - he realized Arsenal would probably be a poison chalice. Oh, & media sources? You'd naturally have to believe anything they say. Not.

I really think the time has come for MT to decide if his future is at Rovers or elsewhere, if the latter then to man up and tell us and move on.

Are there actually any rumours coming out from other clubs, or local press of other clubs that they are in talks with Taylor?
I haven't seen anything. Is it true, or is this agent talk to squeeze the best deal possible out of Rovers? Either way DC has pitched his response perfectly.
Matty needs to realise that it is the chemistry he's found with the squad and coaches at Rovers that has got him the form he's been in and the attention that has come with it, if he goes elsewhere, he will be lucky to find a match to that at another club. How many times do players move on not realising this and then wondering why "things didn't work out" at the new club.
Our staff, probably Marcus Stewart in particular, have developed Matty into a league player from a non league player. They've brought him a long way. As with many sports, if you find a good coaching set up you don't discard it.

The longer it goes on the stranger it is. The offer is on the table from Rovers. There has been no indication it will change. The offer could be withdrawn at any time. There would appear to be offers from championship clubs. They are also unlikely to change, the longer the delay the more likely it is (common sense) that they could also disappear. He knows the offers. He is clearly (?) torn. Nothing is likely to change for the better, but he might find his options shrinking. So either he is being given advice from his agent to hold and hold and hold (personally I think that's a dangerous game with no guarantees at all) or he genuinely cannot make up his mind. If the latter Matty, generally better the Devil you know....

He's probably stuck in a chain, waiting for some procrastinating prick elsewhere to make his mind up. Some people eh, don't know wether they want a sh1t or a hair cut.

What if the club he really wants to go to have told him that he is their number 2 target and are waiting on their first priority? This happens all the time in football. The transfer window is one big long juggling act and a lot of players are 'in limbo'. It's not surprising that he is hedging his bets as ultimately it might earn him a better deal when time starts to run out for clubs to complete their squads. Being a free agent is a big advantage for him and you can't blame him for trying to get the best possible deal. The football business sucks, unfortunately.

One of taylor's biggest fans however this is dragging on too long, you either want to stay or you don't simple really. Mattee if you love this club then either say yes or no, but do it now as every day we kinda lose a bit of respect for you

Problem with that is what happens if that club signs it's No 1 target and we've withdraw our offer? Whilst you could say a goalscorer will always get a club but do that many clubs have a spare £150K/£250K available to sign an extra player if one comes available? Still seems odd to me no club has come out and said they want to sign MT.

Saying you either want to stay or you don't is way too simplistic. It's a bit like with the club not cutting their ties with him. Why is he going to come out and say he wants to go somewhere else? The more options he has the better deal he can get.

I thought the same, apart from Wigan there are no posts I've come across online where they have said they are looking to sign him.
There are not many well kept secrets in football, especially with transfer targets, very strange we have not heard from any third party's.
