In all seriousness though, what a f**king depressing thread this is.
We've come a long way in the last 30-50 years, but it's quite clear that we have a hell of a long way to go.
Absolutely f**king shameful some of the stuff posted on this thread.

That's probably right isn't it? People who think it's a choice say that because they have made that choice, and have repressed feelings that they hold. That would explain why the people who are most anti gay are those that think it's a choice. I've always thought that the people who are most anti gay may be struggling with their own demons and "the choice" theory supports that and makes sense. Oh come on surely you can do better, why is it those who think that people who have different views are what they oppose, in the first place , i hate cats doesnt mean i secretly desire to be a cat owner, and yet everyone who thinks it's not a choice offer no evidence that 100% supports their views. show me some evidence that could change my mind then i will have to accept it and i mean 100% conclusive proof, doesnt exist does it thought not Inee,if you are so sure that it's a choice why don't YOU get the proof? You could go on a gay forum perhaps and ask people why they "chose" to be gay.

Wouldn't it have just have been lovely if this was just 12 pages of people saying "It wouldn't bother me"? Hugo, it would not bother me if you meet Inee behind the bike sheds, a little jealous but not bothered.

Has it also occurred to you that this is a discussion thread, not a thread where everyone has to yield to the majority, some of us have the fecking balls to tell it like it is, thing is if you dislike me i don't give a toss, however just for your benefit the easiest thing for you to do is somewhere in your profile you have the ability to add me to your ignore list, so you don't ever have to read an opinion that differs from yours ,simple What i do find interesting is you feel it necessary to bullshit ,as your first post called for my banning, followed when questioned by someone else, that it was because i mentioned brexit on this thread, when i asked why ,and mentioned i haven't mentioned brexit it became something else. If you think im a cocked eyed lady garden, then feel free as really i wont lose any sleep over it So you have the "fecking balls to tell it like it is" ? What a joke! Im actually starting to feel for you...you clearly need to talk. Feel what ?

Indeed Why anyone would choose to be gay in even today's society, when it's quite obvious doing so will subject yourself to bigoted, putrid abuse from - it seems - a fair proportion of society. I mean, if you could chose, why on earth would you bother? My cousin is gay and I can tell you now, that having gone through some of the awful stuff he's had to go through, if he had ANY choice WHATSOEVER in the matter he would choose to be straight in a heartbeat. Mind = blown at some of the nonsensical suggestions on this thread.

It lasted 13 pages before getting a little out of hand. There's no point shouting and balling over opinions on here. Everyone is different and we all have good and bad ideas.
Wooosa.

Can I officially announce the end of this thread, I reaped what I sow/sew!! I guess the answer is virtually nobody would not go. For one I think it would be a good thing for a team as anything that could cause possible pressure on a player would simply bond, make the team stronger. Maybe that's already happened. That's it thread over.

See this is what make me laugh , most people are telling me i'm wrong but offer no proof that they are correct(for every study that says it not a choice there's one that says the opposite), unlike a lot of people i simply wont accept what i'm told without looking at both sides. You are so adamant that i'm wrong(as stated if i am i will change my mind would you ?? ), You made a comment that as i disagree with it being something you are born with your response was not one of heres some links read em ,but was oh if you dont agree you must be gay. What a lot of people are missing is the fact that just because i disagree with it and believe it to be a choice, although i don't agree with it i'm not saying gays should be locked up or converted, then i suddenly have no right to say anything, which means i must be satan right. IF things are not talked about or discussed then how have we moved forward as a society in the last 80 odd years.

Sorry to p**s on your fire but it is illegal to bugger your missus however it is legal for you to bugger a 16 year old schoolboy.Ia m sure looking at your silly little rant you approve. No, it's not not illegal, as you probably knew before you posted the comment. But why add the "schoolboy" tag? Girls go to school as well. Shocked and stunned by some of the comments on this thread. It is illegal to bugger your missus and I mentioned the schoolboy tag as Mandleson pressed Blair to reduce the age of buggery of a man from 21 to 16 which is schoolboy age.Girls go to school but intercourse with 16 year old girls is usually vaginal not up the ass.So your comparison is stupid.Buggery is dangerous it can cause internal bleeding spread disease and FYI the bumhole is a waste distribution tube.Back to the original question no it shouldn`t make a difference if a rovers player is gay and nor should any professional footballer be pressured into coming out to satisfy the PC brigade who are looking all the time for something to be offended about.

It used to be but changed about 2001 i think. Plenty of anal sex on porn channels,i assume they wouldn't be allowed to openly show it if it was illegal.

Anal between men has been legal since the 60's, anal between a man and woman wasn't legal until the 90's . (edited as i was a decade out) The very last bit of your post is totally correct and has been missed by most of those on this thread. To me the age of consent should not have been lowered for same sex, what should have happened is the age of consent for everyone should have been raised to 21

Anyway, can't we get back to talking about football?
So, tomorrow we've got Peterborough. We're gonna rip them a new one, right?

I'll tell you what is a choice and that is if you want to be a homophobic pig or not.
I have no problem with i. In fact I am proud of how much we accept homosexuality in this country. I know a Pakistani guy who I strongly suspect is gay but he is living a lie because his community and family would be ashamed of him if he was to come out. I think it is a very sad state of affaira and thank f**k we are not like that in this country. Homophobics can f**king do one as far as I am concerned! Up The gays (and straights)!

It. Is. Not. Illegal. And I don't believe for a second that a gay footballer worries about any PC brigade pressure on him to come out, relative to the whirlwind of hate he worries he will face on the terraces from some troglodytes. Football is still 50 years behind society as a whole in many respects. It's catching up, but still has some way to go in welcoming and accepting gays, women and racial minorities on the pitch and especially on the terraces.
