1-0 down against a slick fleetwood team and there was some booing without a doubt and the people around me were very critical and full of advice on what our players should be doing. what a bunch of useless twats they are,,,our supporters are doing a very good impression of city supporters in my opinion and i detest them am i alone or did anyone else feel out of place in the home crowd on tuesday?

it's a cultural issue imo....
20 years ago you had to shop around for decent stuff, you had to be organised with your arrangements, and you had to grasp that life wasn't perfect all the time....
sadly in the current world it's easy to get what you want when you want it, meaning that people become impatient when things aren't exactly what they'd like....

It's certainly changed and I would agree, one of the things I always loved about Rovers is that we turned on our own team much less than the Sh1!heads. I really wish those times would come back!

I think a lot of the boo'ing was directly aimed at the ref who made a couple of awful decisions just before.
Not that the players know this...!

I agree that much anger was addressed towads the referee. Some of his decisions were odd, but he chose not to get his cards out on a couple of occasions when a booking was merited. I thought Sinclair was going to be carded for dissent when he refused his penalty appeal but the ref indicated his pocket and waved Sincs away.
The bloke who sits next to me said the ref had one of he highest bookings and sending off tallies so perhaps he was trying to be more reasonable. I shouldn't worry about the players, they would have known fans were booing the ref and not them.

I'm pretty sure it was aimed at the referee who denied us 3 reasonable penalty shouts in the 5 mins before half time. Nothing more, nothing less...

Then there are the many fans who don't get the Roos cry.

Yep I found the booing extraordinary and I hope it was aimed at the ref.I just wonder though if we have to learn to tolerate sheed behaviour in the future now we have a rich man too and the expectations are higher. Also we have doubled our crowd since the bad times which means we have got all the quitters back. A lesson I have learnt in life is.. 'Never expect support from a weak person'

Atmosphere away from home is always top notch.Better chanting,no booing, more euphoria.Oldham was like one big family.Perhaps everyone at the Fleetwood game could get to an away game.10,000 at Shrewsbury.Need a big bus but I will buy you all a drink and supply the Weetabix.

slightly off-topic but relevant to this. Too many Gasheads think we should have a free-kick every time a Rovers player goes down. It's a tough, physical game and the opponents are allowed to ruffle feathers - they aren't going to say here you go have the ball !! Referees are also labelled a disgrace etc - far too often. They do make mistakes (usually not the crucial ones) BUT not as many as the players !!

It will have been at the ref, remember him refusing to give a pen on one or two occasions at the end of the first half.

Really, I think it's part of the crowd's job to get on the back of the ref and berate him for pretty much any decision he makes which isn't nailed on. One of the things that most bugs me in the crowd, is when you shout at the ref for making a decision, and then some bloke says 'well, really I think it was a fair decision, you see them given quite a lot, to be fair, and it's perfectly within the official's remit to make that ruling.' I mean, we're not a Dam jury, we're a football crowd.
