Same token- it's only a handful of games- were sometimes too quick to decide everything. Ycan only comment on what I have seen which is - so far - all good. Confident handling of crosses, good punches when needed, great reaction shot stopping & a kick like a very powerful mule. Whats not to like? Largely agree. However- a big question for keepers is error recovery. I don't want to see an error- but that's the big test that awaits. We've also played some better footballing sides. When we go against a launch it brigade we'll learn even more. Overall so far so good.

To be fair to t-bone, and quite a few others. Most, if not all weren't moaning/complaining abut Joe himself, we(yes I had a moan too) were moaning/complaining about yet another young, untested GK coming in. It could have been Joe, or player x, y or z coming in. Who ever it was would have got the same treatment.

Roos was a highly rated and having mildenhall as backup seemed to make sense. He'd done well at Wimbledon and they were keen to resign him. Unfortunately for whatever reason he was useless here. Joe less experience than either had looked very good. But as Stewart says with Sweeney it's only a start.

Absolutely fabulous! In all seriousness I am very underwhelmed by this signing and I'm not one to criticse DC but suspect he has made a mistake here. A goalkeeper is not a position you take a risk on a 2q year old loanee IMO. Wish him all the best however. What a prat!

We've had so many sh*t loanee goalkeepers that it was probably fair to be sceptical about Lumley. As it turns out he's f*cking brilliant but having dealt with the likes of Roos, Spiess, and Nicholls in recent years it was OK not to be too "whelmed" at the time.

Hopefully means we never get to hear the Mildenhall chant whenever someone else is in goal again

I have to say, Lumley has proved to be one of DC's best signings. Too many people doubted him when he signed, without having taken a look at him. The lad has everything you'd want from a keeper, and at 22 he obviously still has a lot to give.
I doubt QPR will let us sign him permanently, but a season long loan would be perfect for us.
I trust DC you make the right signings over the summer, andI very he doesn't spend much to get in some very good players.

UTG Marcus said last night that unfortunately he has done too well in someways as now that would have alerted other clubs. It sounds like QPR really rate him and Mrcus said that we trusted Ollie's word and opinion on Lumley and he has done us a favour by letting us have him. Reading between the lines of what Marcus said, it sounds unlikely he will come here on a permanent but maybe a season long loan would be the best option. He says Lumley and Sweeney are the type of players we are looking to sign for next season.

We know how good they are and we are probably not going to get any better. They are obviously both DC type players and they already know the set up and the squad. I'm sure they will have both enjoyed their time here given how well they are playing and might be keen to come back again next year. It would just be a couple less signings for DC to worry about if this was sorted early.

All depends on if and when new loan agreements are made...would hate to have to wait until the start of the new season before knowing and then finding we've missed out and other options are gone. If we are looking to re-sign this pair on loan, which I'd be very happy with, then it all needs to be agreed sooner rather than later.

I'd imagine that Stoke would be either recalling Sweeney or least furthering his experience by loaning him to a Championship club. He's shown he can cut it easily at League 1 level - they will want him to step up. Joe Lumley will attract a lot of attention I'm sure and if Rovers want to sign him it's gonna cost some serious money I believe.

I thought here we go... Sweeney next then... DC must have some dirt on someone to secure his signature!
