At this point in time having the conviction we will sign someone is the very definition of "rose-tinter". And if they sign the rumoured centre back well, I too will feel sorry for the bloke because they might as well not have bothered. We need a striker!! But haven’t you heard? Craig’s past it and Lockyer is only masquerading as an internal CB Allegedly. Well, I think we have problems at centre back because if we didn't Bonham would have been invisible during his loan spell when in actual fact it's quite the opposite. But, be that as it may, we are still keeping the goals out so a decent striker could be the difference between losing 1-0 and winning/drawing 1-0/1-1. A backup CB at this point would be a laughable way to address our issues when we have other players who can cover at CB (which is not ideal admittedly).

If we dnt sign someone who can hold up play rough up the opposition and score goals were nigh on relegated. Thats not being negative its being realistic! Weve struggled for nigh on 12mths now!

Totally agree, if we were only to bring one player in, it would have to be a striker. The vast majority of supporters have known this for a very longtime. Oh, hang on, were bringing Joe Martin back, he can play anywhere across the back!

Broadbent and Russe have been shipped out.The former days after a solid performance and scoring at Northampton. Russe played a year ago against Milton Keynes and put in quite a mature performance, belied his years. Two good prospects. G-o-n-e ... It will be spin the wheel time now, to see who can firm up undroppable Tom Lockyer-Beckenbauer and whoever plays with him.

Said it before, I like lower league grubby football, I like terraces, pasty huts, tents, players who are accessible to the fans, as opposed to over priced seats, prawn sandwich brigade, multi millionaires on the pitch, matches not kicking off at 3pm on a Sat, everything overblown, far too expensive and sometimes not being able to even watch your team because of tourist fans buying up tickets.
I have no problem with Rovers just as they are. Ok a bit of excitement with a cup run or a promotion chase once in a while is nice, but I can always support my team and get in the ground and enjoy a match day, because that's what I do on a Saturday afternoon.

Hopefully he will do well and be in contention next season, or even this season, if he can be recalled.

Probably best he went then!
