Is the Weal dream dying or has it just gone into hibernation for the winter?

Yes but that's why we love 'me! 😂 You're probably right but we now have the potential to change and improve gradually. Over the past 50 years I've supported these owners are the only owners here I've felt we could finally improve our future and then sustain it. But the older I get the less time I have left to see it! Bugger, if only I was 7 again with these in charge! UTG!

Is the Weal dream dying or has it just gone into hibernation for the winter? Gradual and evolutionary change was promised. Honestly Topper what don't you understand about these words? UTG!

For me the main talking points are:
Wael hasnt got the money we thought he had
v.s.
We're happy with our lot in League 1 this season with next season in mind
I'll go for the latter, which is a shame cos this opportunity (4pts of the playoffs to the Championship) certainly doesn't come around every season. Especially not to this club. I think Wael's got money to invest, but is waiting to re-build. Which I fear because our success cant continue forever.
Jesus, keep riding this wave
(until we crash and burn in the Championship £22m in debt)

Is the Weal dream dying or has it just gone into hibernation for the winter? 'Tis truly a sh**ter being 9th in Lge 1 when 2 seasons ago we were playing Woking this weekend. It's a turd being above Peterborough, Charlton, AFC Wimbledon, Oxford Utd, Walsall, Port Vale, Northampton, Gillingham, Swindon, Milton Keynes Dons, Bury, Shrewsbury, Chesterfield, Oldham, and Coventry, all teams who finished above us last season (oh, we're the highest of the promoted clubs then... really??) Annoying to see more staff being taken on. loads of professional people in the building, and the mem at least getting a few bits of updating. Wish those muppets at South Gloucs had turned down that good planning application to drag our trg facilities and academy into the 21st century. How do you eat an elephant? One piece at a time... Note - not necessarily aimed at your comment - more the wider issue of bonkers negativity in this time of pure joy.

I fear there are too many people playing Football Manager and thinking it is easy to go from non-league to champions league in consecutive seasons.
If being a Rovers fan teaches you anything, it is patience - surely.

If being a Rovers fan teaches you anything, it is patience - surely. Spot on! Ive just signed Gherken for my Rovers team on FIFA17 and he didn't put up a fight about moving from Ipswich! His wife didn't get a say, the kids didn't comment about leaving their school. Gherken didn't even consider missing his family or the 300 mile weekly drive! He didn't sell his house, rent another one or move in with Chris Lines!!! Oh and he didn't want to drop down a division as he hits his peak! Didn't want to play for the rivals of one of his previous clubs. Oh and it cost me nothing personally!!! Fans living in dreamland!!!

Too many people seem to forget that if we were to be promoted this season we would achieve something never done in the higher echelons of English football, three promotions in three years.

v.s. Especially not to this club. I think Wael's got money to invest, but is waiting to re-build. Which I fear because our success cant continue forever. Jesus, keep riding this wave (until we crash and burn in the Championship £22m in debt) I really struggle to understand how people have formed this opinion that Wael 'hasn't got the money we thought he had' (not aimed at you by the way Weeezord). It became irrefutably evident within 24 hours of Wael buying the club that he was not a billionaire who was going to buy the world for us, rather a wealthy but responsible owner intent on building a club from the ground up over a long period of time. He has hammered this point home from day 1 of his tenure at every opportunity and yet still people either don't or won't understand this because they petulantly seem to want everything yesterday and expect him to 'get his chequebook out' and fire us from conference to premiership in the space of four years. I can understand the latter point you make about not breaking the bank to reach the championship yet as a possible scenario. I mean if we did get there this year then I'm sure Wael would be delighted, but the club would need to work out how to cope with the increased costs against our currently limited revenue generation and still operate in a sustainable manner. So that scenario is a distinct possibility I think. But I'm pretty sure Wael would be planning on playing Championship football once the new training facility and the stadium are completed so I don't think there's any need for this panic that seems to be sweeping the forum about potentially missing this opportunity by not spending big right now. Wael has made it clear that he will do it at his pace and in a sustainable manner brick by brick. He's using quality and long lasting materials and people to build the wall, the problem is that people seem to want the wall built yesterday using any old crappy bricks we can find lying around the place and no matter what the inflated cost or the poor quality of the personnel.

Why do so many think/beleive we have money? Becsuse the press told you?
Wael has always been quiet on how wealthy his family are and has always promised we would not spend for the sake of it
Many things are improving across the whole club outside of the 11 on the pitch. 9th in Leavue One, we will be safe, yet hysteria over signing another loan keeper.
I would like a new permanent keeper but I am happy to wait until the summer if needs be and the right man becomes available.
Until then chill the f**k out
