Some of you are going to be shocked when we move into the UWE. When you buy your season ticket it will be for a block and not for a specific seat so it will be first come first served on the day of the game. The reasoning behind this is if you wish to bring along a family member/friend for odd games they will be able to sit with you and therefore make it easy for you to bring non season ticket holders along. As someone who travels to all away games I prefer the sit where you want rather than be dictated to by the random luck of the order you bought your ticket. I'm going to be thoroughly watered off if that's the case.

Find it very strange that people sit in allocated seats at concerts etc, but when it comes to another form of entertainment [football], some seem to think they can sit where they want.

I doubt the Al-Q's have got as far as working out the seating plans at the UWE yet, when they are still struggling to agree a deal with the UWE?

Some will also no doubt be shocked if we get to the Championship and regularly take these sorts of away followings to the bigger clubs, who strictly enforce allocated seating.

For quiet games its fair enough to sit where you like.
For the busy ones, it's worth trying to sit in the seat you've been allocated.

I have the el cheapo which allows me to take my pick of several blocks.

Sit where you want is fine if it's not a sell out. But if there are 2000 seats and 2000 tickets sold, it doesn't work. You end up with dozens and dozens of odd single seats dotted all over the place that no-one wants sit in because they are with mate/partner.

Please think of others and do not stand. It can spoil the match for a lot of young and old supporters. My father is 85 and still stands in the Blackthorn End, however we always try to stand by a bar. If you stand in a seated area there are obviously no bars to rest on. Children are even worse off because they are not tall enough. So come on we can all enjoy the match with a good view sat down. Yeah but away pretty much everybody stands so If I sit down I won't be able to see.

Yes, because we don't want the atmosphere of a concerto. We want the guttural screams of wild men. In fact, everything which is allocated seating generally has the onus on keeping quiet.

I personally think we shouldn't be given a ticket number, just sit where you like every game. 4000 tickets 4000 seats what is the problem? I know this is maybe a bit different as it is in blocks.
I am taking my old man with me Saturday, but he will have to sit away from the rest of us as he didn't have a season ticket and we didn't think we were gonna get enough with the scaremongering of how many tickets Coventry gave us.

And the groups that rock up at 3pm unfortunately don't want to use those seats. So stand in the gangway. And get lairy. And get in the way of people's views. And cause more arguments. And attract stewards. Who block peoples views. And they get lairy. Repeat at 3.50pm. But yeah, sit where you want, it has no knock on effect.

I do envisage some trouble on Saturday. It actually could be a similar Port Vale situation. It is crazy when the stadium is going to be 2/3rds empty.

Do you pick the seats when you purchase them? If not, sit where you want. First come first served. It shouldn't be a lucky dip decided by a computer. What happens if a group who have booked and paid for seats together but are unable to sit together because people are not sat where they should be and there are none left. So you can pick seats? If so then sit where the tickets say. If not then don't worry.

What about situations where there's lots of space in the stand? Should stewards etc. not bother leaving a bit of room for those people who do come in late where they have the capacity?

Sit in the allocated seat, then after 10 minutes or so and when there is a lull in the game feel free to move to a space you prefer.

The majority of away supporters are great but then you get the asshole's "i'll do and sit where i want" element. These people are a bunch of w*nkers and always let the club down they should ether f*ck off back to the 70's or stay at home and jerk off while watching Green Street for the millionth time.
