I'd happily sit in my allotted seat, but equally if that's taken by a big hard man, I'll sit cross legged on the floor. Enjoy the game💪🏻 I know your just having a laugh but if you allow a person to sit in your seat you have allowed him to bully you. I got bullied as an apprentice and vowed to never let that happen again and i wont whatever happens.

Hearing that the atmosphere was dreadful today. Beyond terrible. Completely sterile due to the allocated seating and 75% of the away end being sat down. 30-odd Coventry kids with a drum put us to shame.

Performance was more to blame for lack of atmosphere, along with the 20000 empty seats.

Today our singers were spread out all over the away section and most were made to sit (fans don't sing as much when they sit as when they stand). Yes the performance was bad, but the atmosphere was dead from the very start because of the allocated seating. The 20,000 empty seats didn't stop Coventry's small singing section from making noise for most of the game.

All relative I guess. I felt the atmosphere was fine to start and tailed off as it became apparent we saved our worst (possibly second worst) performance for our largest away following.
Still had the obligatory aisle standers v stewards stand off.

Bunch of tits stood on the steps all game instead of finding their seats. Also, the absolute f*cking pr!ck who started shouting out in the minutes silence ought to be banned for life, the belter.

Weird one today, got to the game 10 mins before kick off (parking took me facking ages) to find a group of people stood across where my group had our allocated seats. Because I didn't want to be 'that guy' we decided to stand elsewhere, only for 2 mins later being asked to move by the person who's seats we were in.
Obviously moved to other seats but I thought the atmosphere was shocking throughout the whole ground. Our performance didn't help but the only noise was the that facking drum, which I wouldn't really call atmosphere.
Had to stop to change a flat tyre on the way back to top off a sh*t day. Onto next week!

Yep, lots of total cocks spoilt 1st 20 mins by trying to crash other people's seats. Eventually realised stewards were going to win and ended up dispersed. Surely there is a better way of allocating seats. Maybe keep a block for those "I intend to arrive late, full of sh** and looking for a fight with anyone in hi viz" section

Reading through this thread i think a lot of our fans are more suited to non league where they can turn up sit anywhere and watch out because we are massive. If god forbid we get into the championship we will be one of the smallest lowest supported teams in the division and clubs will enforce allocated seating which clearly isnt suitable for our "ultras" ha

They spent the whole game either on their phones or shouting and making hand gestures at the away fans, complete wasters, sincerely hope this isn't representative of the future generation of Rovers fans.

The guys who came in late after having a few too many beers got a bit annoyed when asked to move as they were blocking others view of the pitch one bloke was told to " stand up then you prick" when politely said I can't see anything. I had a few pints but still managed to sit in my allocated seat at half past two. Thought the stewarding was excellent got them all moved on without too much bother as it could have got a bit nasty .Bloody team never fail to water us all off when we take a big following I think the expectation makes them nervous and edgy !

I have been supporting Rovers since 1971. I have visited 75 grounds (league and non league) and yesterday ranks as my worst ever experience at an away fixture. I was encouraged that the majority of fans might actually behave themselves and also sit in the seat number allocated on their ticket. So the 7 of us (including my Dad, Son, Sister and Brother in law) arrived in the ground about 2.10pm. So far so good and that continued with I estimate about 90 to 95% of fans being considerate to their fellow fans.
From about 2.50pm an increasing number of young men decided to congregate on the steps, with clearly no intention of finding their allocated seat. This led to many fans views, including my own, being either wholly or partially blocked. When asked to move or sit down we were subject to a torrent of verbal abuse (c, f, w words in abundance) and threatening violence. They all appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and only cared about themselves. I did speak to both a Steward and a police officer at half time but to no avail. Many of the said young men (I do not descibe them as Bristol Rovers fans) returned after half time.
These young men were the most obnoxious, drunken, vile, selfish individuals that I have had the misfortune to meet at a football match. The abuse they gave to fans around me was disgusting. I had really been looking forward to Coventry away, since the fixtures were issued, because it was an opportunity to add another ground to my list..
Although I will continue to support Rovers at home (I have had a season ticket for over 30 years, always join the supporters club and am a share scheme member), I am unlikely to attend any further away matches. I can accept a bad result, the team playing poorly and even Chris Lines making more passes to the opposition than his team mates! However these individuals are a throw back to the bad days of football. Unfortunately it still exists in 2017.
