Assaulted a copper a few days ago! What sort of illness that? Think he was well worth keeping away from. Maybe caught something whilst he was locked up?

Former Luton Town striker Ricky Miller has been charged with assaulting a police officer. Mr Miller, 28, will appear in court later this month following an incident near the Ortongate Shopping Centre in Peterborough on Sunday, November 5, at around 10.50 am. A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: “A 28-year-old man from Welwyn Garden City has been charged with using threatening behaviour, assaulting a police officer and failure to provide a specimen of breath. “ He is due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on November 22.” A spokesman for Peterborough United added: “The football club wish to report that Ricky Miller is unavailable for training and team selection due to personal illness and related circumstances. “We will be working with him and trying to help in every way that we can as a football club. The players’ welfare is paramount and the football club will not be adding to this statement at this time.” Miller is yet to score for Posh in a competitive fixture. www.lutontoday.co.uk/news/former-luton-town-player-ricky-miller-charged-with-assaulting-police-officer-1-8235580

Assaulted a copper a few days ago! What sort of illness that? Think he was well worth keeping away from. I assume it could be alcoholism, which is an illness.

We certainly dodged a bullet there. Well done DC

It is probably not down to DC that we missed out. Lets hope we miss out on him in the future because his record since joining Peterborough probably makes him a leading contender for our next "star" signing from the Posh.

Lets hope we miss out on him in the future because his record since joining Peterborough probably makes him a leading contender for our next "star" signing from the Posh. Dover said we never went in for him. BRFC said we never went in for him. Are you genuinely trying to say that DC really wanted to sign him, but failed?

No I am not saying that. I have no idea if we were in for him as that was only speculation but I doubt that DC did not want him with his scoring record at that time and my second comment is in jest and based on recent history between the clubs!

I would take everything the Peterborough chairman says with a large pinch of salt. Stuck his nose and big mouth into the Lee Tomlin debate a week or so ago and Mr Warnock firmly put him in his place!

I did enjoy that from Warnock. It’s ahout time that loud mouthed tw*t was put in his place! Where can i find that? www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/claims-lee-tomlins-wages-ridiculous-14008033..MacAnthony – during a question and answer session with fans on social media – insisted Tomlin, who spent four years with Posh earlier in his career, was now pocketing £28,000-a-week wages at Cardiff City Stadium after his agent blocked a move to London Road. The 41-year-old Dubliner said: “Lee contacted me and asked about coming back, but his agent wanted him to stay in the Championship. We made the call to Bristol City, but it didn’t work out and Lee is now on £28k a week at Cardiff!” But Warnock, speaking ahead of Monday night’s clash with Reading, dismissed MacAnthony’s version of events, also taking issue with reports that Cardiff paid close to £3m for the creative talent. Asked if he was surprised by MacAnthony’s claims, Warnock said: “No, not really, I think he’s just trying to get out of a hole with his own fans by the sound of it. It’s ridiculous. “And if he’s going to say stupid comments like that he should at least make sure he’s got the facts. “We only paid £1.5m, I think everybody knows that, and not £2.9m – and I bet Tomlin wishes he was on that sort of money. He’s nowhere near that, miles away. “It doesn’t help, comments like that, and I don’t know where he was saying it but he sometimes, because of who he is he thinks he can say what he wants and to hell with the consequences. “I think he was trying to get out of a hole with his own fans because he was looking to sign someone like Tomlin in the summer, which, no disrespect to Peterborough, I wouldn’t have thought they had a cat in hell’s chance of signing him for the sort of money you’re talking about.”

BP are reporting that Peterborough looking to offload him. Would we still be interested?

BP are reporting that Peterborough looking to offload him. Would we still be interested? No, and I’m not sure that we were interested in the first place.

BP are reporting that Peterborough looking to offload him. Would we still be interested? I bet they'd love someone to take him. 2 1/2 years of a fat contract left. No transfer fee so he must be on one hell of a whack. Why would he leave that? Buyers market that one!

Couldn't agree more. Maybe they'd take Nicholls back though.
