Ryan Bennett (released) Paul Anderson (released) Cameron McGeehan (out of contract, fee required) David Wheeler (out of contract) James Collins (fee) I understand David Wheeler lives in Bristol & if Exeter don't make it through the play offs it's a distinct possibility. Looks a quality winger from what I've seen. Works hard, good in the air, creates plenty (7 assists) and scores goals - 19 in all competitions this season.

How about getting Doidge back from Forest Gumps. Sorry if he has already been mentioned but scored again today to take his tally to 25 this season. Only 24

I remember us spending shitloads on Micky Adams from Plymouth and he was sh**e! We might as well have got a donkey of Weston beach. I'm sure someone will correct me but I thought it was about a quarter of a million? Correct, it was £250,000. And I thought he was, he played like one but just not as quick! UTG! Yes, he was the first person that came to my mind as someone relatively proven who flopped for us. But when I looked on wiki his record before joining us wasn't even that good, basically a goal every 5 games in his career up to then.

But I think he went back to Plymouth and did well. Can't remember what league Plymouth were in then, Championship or league 1 I think, but I'm not sure. Whatever, he did a lot better than with us. Mind you it was a bad couple of years for us, few things went right! UTG!

Wheeler has another year left on his contract. Would cost a hefty fee. Not likely. Reuben Reid more of a possibility?

Not likely. Reuben Reid more of a possibility? I believe Wheeler extended his contract during Feb '16. According to this site it expires on 30.06.2017. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-wheeler/profil/spieler/104167Could be wrong though. Edit: According to the exeweb forum he does indeed have another year left to run on his contract. Someone spoke to him at their player of the year ceremony (where he won 5 awards) and he confirmed it. James Henry is likely to be released from Wolves. Was on loan at Bolton this season. A decent winger at this level on his day.

He played but didn't look after himself well enough. That is unfair and untrue. He signed for Salisbury and had spells with Poole Town in the Southern League and Blackfield and Langley in the Wessex League. He had had horrendous injuries before we signed him and had further ones after. Always best to check before you make accusations! UTG! Alright Jamie, calm down.

Quite calm, just stating facts not innuendo but don't think you should go round peddling crap and making rumours up. I'll calm down if you stop spreading rubbish! Deal?

I've been following the Gas since 1987. In those 30 years I can only remember us buying a couple of strikers who were anywhere near proven goal strikers at the level we were at, who went on to be a success for us. Those would be John Taylor and Rickie Lambert. Of those two, Lambert had only had one prolific season at Rochdale. We've had a much greater success rate with getting strikers from a lower level and progressing them, and I think DC will go down this route again. I remember us spending shitloads on Micky Adams from Plymouth and he was sh**e! We might as well have got a donkey of Weston beach. I'm sure someone will correct me but I thought it was about a quarter of a million? I think you'll find it was Mickey Evans and not Adams and we signed him from West Brom for £250k

Well they are both 5 letters ending in S so I was close. Are you sure it was West Brom im sure it was Plymouth? Anyway it was a waste of money he was a donkey.

So another league 1 club has offered the Posh £250k for Miller even though he's barely set foot in the place?! I wonder who. They've turned it down btw. Posh chairman wants him to win the golden boot, and he probably will. m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39882334Edit: just seen already mentioned on LJ thread

I don't understand how Posh can turn down an offer unless he's already signed a contract. I thought you could only sign pre-contracts when someone is in the last month of their current one (so June most of the time). Am I mistaken in this or does it mean Posh had to agree a deal with Dover to sign him before he was available on a free?

I'm sure they said on the BBC Sport page he signed for the posh, as soon as his Dover contract expired?
