I assume all the Gashead Sainsbury boycotters on here also avoid purchasing items from Argos?

Only gripe I have with Argos , is that every time I want to buy something , they never have it in Dam stock !!!!

If everyone bought everything they could from the Co-op, Waitrose and John Lewis then the world would be a happier and fairer place.

I hear what you are saying but it doesn't mean that Shamesbury's should get a get of jail free card. When all said and done they never had any intention of buying the mem, they just wanted to make sure the competition didn't. They are lady gardens of the highest order and that is why they will never see a penny of my money ever again and any gashead that still shops there should hang their head in shame. But what happens if the ALQ's deliver the UWE to plan, a state of the art training ground and also top level Championship football, getting shafted by them could then turn out to be the best thing that happened to us? It could well turn out that getting shafted was the best thing that could have happened but it should be remembered that no one had even heard of the Al Qadis when they f**ked us over and shamesbury's didnt give a flying toss what the consequences were for rovers. Some on here seem quite happy to forgive and forget. Some even mock fellow gasheads that continue to boycott them and that really boils my water dry.

If this is aimed at me , which I'm sure it is, A) I have nothing to forgive or forget as whether you or I like it or not what Sainsbury's did to rovers unfortunately goes on in the world of business all the time and the likes of you and me boycotting Sainsbury's isn't going to change that, and like I said earlier I actually enjoy their products. B) I wasn't mocking anybody on here I was having a bit of light hearted banter as we've moved on since then and I think the future for our club is very bright, I respect people's views on the subject but at the end of the day if I want to make light of the situation I will do.

Each to their own with boycotting Sainsbury's.
None of us would shop anywhere or buy anything if we took some sort of moral objection to what any companies get up to. Who uses Google, who buys from Amazon, Tesco etc

We used to do our weekly shop at Sainsburys Winterstoke Rd; that was combined with the late Brother-in-law doing his weekly shop (wheelchair bound so I generally drove him down there). He always bought lunch in the on-site cafe, to recompense us for the effort. Since his demise we rarely shop there, combination of using the likes of Lidl & Aldi and changes of working patterns. We can all pontificate about the big bad evil company, but continue to buy clothes and goods from other unethical organisations. Each to their own I say.

Each to their own. We all have our own moral code to live up to. Personally hell would freeze over before I would choose to give them a single penny of my money. Must admit I'm finding it more of a hardship to find alternatives to Argos now they have been taken over by the scumbags. I'm using Athena now and ... struggling to think of other Greek god related shop to complete the joke.... 😂

There is the usual us and them with these sorts of issues. Thankfully a few have taken the 'each to their own' stance, which is the correct one imo. The initial boycott of Sainsbury where 100k gasheads would put them out of business and leaving trollies of food unattended etc was nothing more than knee-jerk at a situation that was out of our control. If you want to react to a company you feel has behaved poorly then you may aswell move to the Australian outback and live off the land!
