Only thing denting my confidence a bit for today is our growing injury list again and the dwindling rotation options JB has to replace any tired legs today. Likely to be without Lofty, Marquis, Anderson and Coutts. Wouldn’t be surprised if McCormick started in place of Loft. Doubt Sinclair match-fit enough to start yet. Confidence must be sky high though and with 3,000 Gasheads behind them who knows! Plus Grant Ward and maybe 0ne or two others. At Rovers 7 injuries is a result from our usual 10 plus. Derby and Wednesday and other teams consider 4 as a ' injury crisis'. We seem constantly unlucky .

We always seem to struggle in Div one and go through managers a lot. Maybe because our promotions are miraculous ( last two to div one) . We are ill prepared and struggle. The big teams seem to push us over and the smaller teams seem to have the experience and crafiness at this level. I'm not defending Barton I'm just raising the point We struggle in div one . We struggle in league one because the rest of the EFL have moved on over the last 20-30 years. Improved facilities and revenue generating opportunities. Other than a new training ground we’re still stuck in the past. The management of the club spends a lot of time telling us how they’re making changes to be more professional but other than a few more flashy signs I don’t see it. Ticketing is more of a fiasco now than it was 3-4 years ago when the digital tickets first came in, merchandise slower to arrive and more likely to get lost before arrival (and I’m not convinced it’s necessarily Royal Mail at fault), food stalls just as slow and disorganised as ever and food back to its old levels of quality. But of course most of all we still need a new stadium urgently. More so than ever. It’s been quiet a while for the fruit market. Would have expected news by now if it was going in the right direction. Totally agree !. The surroundings don't give much enthusiasm we want bigger and better. Of course this is a historical issue . We always seem to struggle at this level and changing managers will not necessarily address everything.

I’ll call it again, Taxi for Barton before he takes us down, that was shambolic. We always seem to struggle in Div one and go through managers a lot. We do not need Sinclair, we need an experienced centre back! I agree with above comment. Fortunately we have the leagues top scorer and Loft who is on form. Also we have Marquis Saunders and Coburn ( injured) who scored 5 in 20 at championship level. So we are strong in attacking options. However : we have 4 centre backs. Two have never played at div one level : one will not be fully fit until December and Alfie. We lack an experienced pro who can guide and advice. There must be a CH on a free unattached. We will not get away at this level putting right backs and mids at CH.

That is the figure being shared on social media. I have a question. What is the highest fee ever paid for a player before joining Rovers ?. I assume it would be a player in the last 10 years . Is someone like Whelen up there ? . Answer's please !. ( p.s not what we paid cause that's Tilson but another club before joining us ). Don't think there is anyone higher than £6m. I reckon you could be right ! Unless a short loan happened or an experienced player joined. This could be the highest fee paid for a player who joined us .

Good pedigree. 7 years at Newcastle and 2 at Everton.in youth career. England youth International, most recent in 2019 in under 20's, 4 appearances. 3 recent loan spells. Look forward to seeing him in the Quarters. Cost Everton £6mil when he moved from Newcastle. That is the figure being shared on social media. I have a question. According to Gorringe there will be no further tickets available to home fans. Can't believe fgr have sold anywhere near 1700 I’d be amazed if they sold over 800 We might have to make some assumptions until FGR stop selling . It's obvious they got the away terrace and we can't mixed fans even if they only sell 300 plus in away end. However : we can narrow things down in South stand . IF the club are saying " no more tickets". Then FGR may have 500_ 600 South stand tickets plus segregation and 300 from North stand tickets = 1000 sell out. But it still raises questions about allowing FGR have so many in South stand when they can't fill terrace first. Let's hope it's more than 800 as u say . Otherwise we could of used away terrace and got a bigger crowd. Indeed there could be many moans if they been allocated a 'full allocation' and bring only 800 and deprive our fans of tickets .

FGR were selling south stand tickets up until recently. The info is scarce on there forum / website to the amount sold. However : they were given the full away terrace as well. I suppose if they sell 800 terrace 300 stand . We would have about 500 ( segregation) left in South stand . Nobody knows until FGR return unsold tickets . Although we must accomate the 300 plus as a minimum from North terrace. I thought what was the away terrace is now a home terrace for this season and that away fans would have some or all of the south stand as required? www.fgr.co.uk/news/tickets-bristol-rovers-away

I assume south stand tickets were left unsold in case away allocation needed to be more. I guess we now have to give fewer to away teams (or they couldnt sell them) so are being used for home fans. If we are reduced down to 9000 we only have to give 900 to away fans FGR were selling south stand tickets up until recently. The info is scarce on there forum / website to the amount sold. I suppose its better than a suspended points deduction or heavy fine. I posted a link a few weeks ago explaining FGR were offered terrace and South stand 1800. My guess is they will sell around 1200 meaning 500 plus seats avaliable in South stand to transfer fans. The same with Oxford they will bring 1200 tops
I noticed in 2016/ 17 season we had 6 games over 10000 plus ( wall 11900 Cov 11200 etc). So if we can get back to 10000 it will accommodate most game with the exception of a few.

Ipswich, Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday all on Tuesday nights. Where is the consideration for supporters? And all of the Big Six is next spring . Seems a funny way to do it unless some work to start on South Stand ?

Seriously jumping the gun, season ticket sales currently at 4500 and a poor start will see gates around the 7500 level. Add in some inclement weather and I don't think restricting sales will be on the agenda for standing in the open! Totally agree. The club always has bigger crowds when doing well and we went as low as 6K for some tier 3 games in the not too distant past. What happens if an ST holder doesn’t turn up, do they make that available or does it depend on the person to say they will not be coming ? This article suggest S.T holders are included even if they don't turn up. I suppose its impossible to know for health & safety reasons the exact turn out. So if we sell 1400 away and say 5200 STs . Our attendance would be 6600 plus segregation 7000 even before general sale starts .. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1083630/The-truth-modern-day-attendances-How-clubs-count-missing-fans.html

Why would the club want to reduce potential income from away fans ?. Last season we allowed nearly 1300 away fans . Are we saying this will be reduced to just under 1000.
Surely by not allowing S.T sales in South and away terrace means the club can be ' flexible ' and take each game at its merit. For example I would give Exeter 1400 and try to sale 8500 home tickets . For Pompey / Derby etc maybe away terrace and half of South stand 1400. Is this official away terrace is ours ?
Surely the only way to keep every happy is to use the Sunderland Barnsley deal a few years ago. They allowed 900 away terrace tickets and 450 South stand tickets . This meant 450 was on general sale for home supporters . I think the club will use this model for the 10 _ 12 clubs in division one .

There is no one better than Glouc cricket for guidance advice and contacts. Last night 7500 capacity next month 17500. They have at least 4 temp stands ranging to a few hundred to thousands . I'm sure a small stand could be extended from existing south stand to away terrace ( restricted height) because of screen. It may only be 200 300 but it helps in current situation. What about a stand in area behind away terrace ? If we sell 5000 ST'S and at least 10 clubs will sell existing 1200 away limited . We need to do something . Otherwise only 2000 tickets could go on general sell for the CAT A games . And will S.T holders have first pick ( general sale tickets ) ? Only 2000 on general sale, how do you work that out when the capacity is 10500 and at best we'll only shift 5000 season tickets? The club said they will be flexible on each game . Currently no sales are on offer for South stand or away terrace . The club could allow CAT A games the full away allocation meaning just under 2000 for Derby Sheff w muff etc. If S.T sales continue to sell at a pace . We could be in a situation were only 2000 general tickets are avaliable ( I did say CAT A above ) . For example 5500 St sales and away support just under 2000 Total =.7500. Then will S.T holders get priority for bigger games on general sale?. Add the above and current capacity of 10000 and it may be that only 2000 _ 3000 for the likes of bigger clubs . The local press have reported S.Ts could be taken off sale to avoid these issues.
