www.eticketing.co.uk/glosccc/EDP/Event/Index/1097?position=2Click on above. Click Jack Russell stand. Click choose your own seat. You will see how it as radically transformed the ground to a 18000 capacity with temp stands ( new ground plan with temporary stands). If you go up to the ground today is half the size holding 8000. So it can be done at MEm !.

Firstly : I would say increase capacity even if its temporary stands. I keep saying Gloucestershire cricket does this by normal capacity 9000 to 18000 for internationals.
We need a review in the summer to determine what areas can be utilised . For example the large area by the scoreboard could be used for a large temp stand like at Twerton in the away end after stand fire. If there is underground wires : rewire them.
What about the area between the south / west stand and west stand ?. At cricket games you access parts of the ground by a tunnel under temp stands.
Of course I'm not talking about mega numbers . However there must be a way to link up the large spaces even temporary like at Bath Rugby : Cheltenham cricket : County ground.
I DONT accept the space we have is limited to 9700 . At least someone make a call to Gloucester cricket and get a quote / advice .

Agree about Mk Dons bringing 500-600 but they only been giving 300 plus tickets. We just released away terrace and middle section of South stand for home fans.
8600 ( MK 320 away ).

Barring Tisdale's calamity, I can't remember a January window as underwhelming as this. Barton mouthing off about wanting this and that doesn't help. It's clear the club ain't got no money or they ain't prepared to spend anymore. Either way until we get the ground situation sorted it's fruitless even thinking about a play off push..

We don't want a kneejerk to a bad defeat. With Harry and Rossiter back and fully fit (and probably playing 4-4-2 which IMO suits our players), I think we will be safe with several games to play. If we only sign one permanent defender who will be the main stay at the back in the next two seasons, and another loan will do me. Perhaps Joeys words may inspire a positive reaction in some of the players who have not been performing recently as well. We don't want to spend big money on someone who is injury prone or is just currently in the form of their life (but may not be able to keep it up) - form is temporary, ability is permanent. Let's persevere and see what (both) Wards can do. Rossiter unlikely to play for at least 2 months it sounds like. Similar Gibson. That’s why today is critical. A bad run now with all the teams below strengthening could get very nervy quickly Of course anything can happen at anytime anywhere. However: putting it into context. If we were to be relegated it would be more astonishing than the run last year for autos. This time last year we were 13 points behind autos with 2-3 in hand. Currently we are around the same but they only got 1 in hand ( 4 of the 5). A win on Saturday would mean we need 10 points from our remaining games . That would qualify as one of our worst runs in history if we went down.

As a minimum Joey needs to sign an experienced centre half next week. The defence is too young and inexperienced and its effecting the confidence of Hoole and Conolley and contributing to the goalie crisis.
If Joey don't then he needs over ruling by the board. I think we got enough to stay up but equally we want to avoid a dog fight. Everyone can see this expect JB who I have always supported and never said a bad word against.

Hoping for the win but don’t see anywhere near enough effort has been made to strengthen defence … so much pressure on our young Liverpool lad it’s crazy. Connolly needs to get with it and soon. Hopefully Grant is fit to play but can’t see him getting past undroppable Evans who has been dire so far. If we are to get anything today I think we will need to score two maybe three…. So not impossible just unlikely. 2-1 home win sadly … set pieces our downfall. Praying for 0-2 away win though. Let's not forget there home record for the last 7 is W 4 D 3 L 0. The last home defeat was 4 months ago to Ipswich. However away from home they are awful. A draw would be excellent . I'm going for 2-2.

I'm concerned about cover for centre backs so I would put Hoole on bench. Go 4 - 4 -2.
Belshaw
Gibbons Connolly Liverpool lad Gordon
Evans Finley Coutts Sinclair Coburn Collins
New Goalie Anderson Hoole ( rest ) Whelen or Ward Loft Marquis Mccormick.

Crucial Friday loan signing with no time to get some training in down at the Quarters, decent amount of time in advance as to not inconvenience the majority of our supporters, get Wycombe back down here in March on a Tuesday night. The sh*thousers have been shithoused. Let's hope the club are sensible enough to rearrange a late March / April fixture. What's the use gambling on a Freezing February evening given our cold winter .

tickets.itfc.co.uk/en-GB/categories/awayThis is why we need to expand the Memorial season in the short term. We still need to play the other Big Six . We could easily be getting gates of 12000 plus with very large away followings. However they are restricted to 1200 ?. But I expect as it's a Tuesday evening it won't be sell out for home fans. Maybe ? . However with our average home gate 9000 . If you add on the large followings of up to 8 away sides . We could be pushing 12000 plus. Plymouth would of brought up another 2000 even Exeter.

Joey got two calls wrong this week. One we played a reserve side v Muff which could of Awarded us a big pay day to booster budget. Muff play cheltenham home for Wembley trip.
Secondly: he released 3 defenders and didn't get at least one in. Last week we were thinking of Wembley and play offs .
However : he's transfered the club and we are in the top half. Not many managers have achieved that in the last 20 years.

Really disappointed to see Alfie go. He was part of our tradition and played with some exceptional players over the years. As we were walking out the East stand on Tuesday. Alfie was sat on the top left side.
Best of luck and thanks for your dedicated service !.

I don’t think its much of a boycott out of principle any more, if the EFL were hellbent on introducing B teams they would have done it already and most non attendees realise that. I think it’s more that some fans have lost interest in the competition now there’s a group stage, with U21 teams, I know I have anyway. It used to be a far better attended competition when it was a straight knock out competition with L1, L2 and a few invited tier 5 clubs. It felt like an extension of league football, and the trophy at the end was more prestigious to lift. Anyways, I’ll still get behind the boys during the latter stages of the competition. "far better attended" is pushing things, it's never really been well supported until the latter stages and even then not that greatly supported unless it was a local derby. We also have the added factor fans can now sit at home in the warm and watch it on iFollow for a tenner. www.11v11.com/matches/bristol-rovers-v-walsall-14-march-1990-291997/We got 4700 in a QF or Area SF ( same thing) in 1990 at Twerton en route to Wembley. P.s I think we played Notts county over 2 legs to get to final and I recall a big crowd at Twerton.

I think I read that Finn Azaz had an ankle injury so hoping he might be out for them - very good player. Anyone aware if all the ground will be open or parts closed off ? Looking at the ticket page the west terrace and south stand currently have no tickets available It's because no one knows how many Plymouth will bring. Initially they will get entire south stand . Then if demands grow away terrace and maybe south / west stand. So west terrace won't go on sale. All we know is they sold 300 in 48 hours .

Argyle have sold their initial allocation of tickets for this cup fixture. Their fans will probably be the record number of Away fans at The MEM for this particular competition. Meanwhile. Swansea City has recalled Morgan Whittaker from his loan spell at Plymouth Argyle. The 21-year-old joined the Pilgrims on a season-long loan last summer, and had enjoyed an outstanding first half of the season at Home Park. Whittaker has nine goals and seven assists in 27 appearances this season, and he was named League One player of the month for September. One of those goals was the penalty in the 1-1 draw at Argyle against BRFC in the group stage. If you mean this season as an away record at the Mem . Then that's not hard to beat. However : this competition have seen some big followings at our ground. Sunderland brought over 2000 a few seasons ago. Bristol City brought the same and Exeter packed the South Stand and most of the away terracing 10 years ago. It be interesting to see how many Muff will bring .
