The safety issue is this. Say there is a fire, Fire Brigade says how many in the ground? Club responds 10 thousand 500, when in actual fact there is less than 9000 there. I think that could be a problem Doesn't sound like that would be an issue to me? What do you think would be the problem there?

Who is taking away your free speech? Well I've been asked to tone down my comments on here about a certain person , although those in favour of the certain person can spout what they like as long as it is in his favour other than that as I've said before the P C brigade wants to shut everybody up from having a say just look at the Kleenex problem today where they have had to change their product labelling because someone said it was sexist - the world is going mad You were asked not FORCED. You could have carried on about DC, but people would have moaned at you louder. What you're moaning about is people moaning at you for carrying on. As for Kleenex I don't care. If a company feels they need to rebrand because of what someone said on twitter that's their business. It doesn't affect my life one bit so why care?

I see your irrational dislike of DC is not the only reason most people think you're an idiot. Because it looks like you just simply are one. See, I can say that under the guise of free speech. That's not a very nice thing to say to the reformed mg by the way what part of my comment makes me an idiot and if I am wrong who is responsible for taking away our free speech and our rights to say what we want to who we want when we want Who is taking away your free speech?

And mods feel free to move as I realise this isn't remotely Rovers related!

An interesting article on how free speech is viewed in the current political climate: www.independent.co.uk/news/long_reads/free-speech-human-rights-threat-social-media-boris-johnson-no-platforming-a8527226.htmlOne of the takeaways for me was that not platforming someone (say Anjem Choudary being banned from appearing on the BBC) isn't impinging on their free speech, rather denying them a chance to spread their message effectively. I've seen people claim their free speech is being denied when their thread is locked or they are temporarily banned here. You don't have a right to be able to post on the forum, if you are being a dick and get banned then thats the mods exercising their right to make the forum a nice place to come. I'm using my privilege to write this, if the mods decide it needs to be deleted or myself banned then I won't be crying about free speech.

And assumes that they will get PP for the requisite houses. And not to mention the Mem Gates which will likely have to be incorporated into the plans/designs and were a bone of contention in the last fiasco with Shamesburys. Apart from that sounds like a plan. Whats not to like? Agreed. There are a lot of well organised NIMBY's in BS7 nowadays, and despite any development containing social housing they won't want the additional traffic and 24/7 disruption that they perceive it will bring even though i'm certain any development would be attractive and in keeping with the area. Also, don't rule out conniving sh** heads in the vicinity trying to derail any planning application like some of ours did with their village green debacle. I think the council would support any plans, having backed a big supermarket in the past, but once those out of town trendy tree huggers who now infest BS7 start the appeals process, it could be a bumpy ride. I'm certain any development will be designed to maximise profits for the developer. I don't live in BS7 so I can't attest to how many 'out of town trendy tree huggers' there are knocking about, but its the locals democratic right to have a say in any development that will affect where they live. Lets not pretend that any of us would be happy if a Sainsbury's was planned to be built opposite our house with 6am deliveries!

Look at it the other way. They issue a statement denying the rumours and reaffirming their commitment to the club. They would then have to do this for every rumour that flies around as to do otherwise would give them added weight. Its a lose-lose situation for them at the moment. I prefer silence than constant rumour denial. Disagree. Not every rumour, but when the press & fans are only talking about a takeover - it needs to be answered. Unless, maybe they're happy that fans are distracted with takeover talks as it steers away criticism of playing budget/investment etc It would have to be every rumour though that's the problem. Those that are left unanswered are given creedence based on the silence. Are the press talking about this or is it just on the forum?

I can't believe the Bristol Post have a whole section of articles on their website under the banner of Rovers Takeover latest. Just read the last one from their expert who tells us that to build a new ground and training facility is going to cost a lot of money.....thanks for that expert insight. With Radio Bristol and now The Post pitching in, there's no way in the world that they're not aware at Rovers of the ridiculous amount of speculation going on at the moment. Why on earth would they let this continue when they could knock it on the head with a simple statement unless there were something in it? A lot of it isn't exactly painting the current owners as having been the best custodians of the club, so I wouldn't have thought it was a case of 'Any publicity is good publicity'. All this uncertainty is hardly likely to be having a positive influence on anyone, including the players. I wish the ownership knew how to produce a stadium and a training ground as quickly and effectively as they know how to produce a game of Chinese Whispers - the potential cost of one of those seems to matter a whole lot less to them.

Thanks for the report Steve. Let's hope this gives us a bit of confidence going into the weekend.
Great news that Rodman is back and getting into form. Could be just what we need to drag us out of the relegation zone.

In Episode 36 of GasCast Harley Thorne, Tom Metcalfe and Max Alderson discuss what was a disappointing late loss to Walsall at home on Saturday. The lads discuss why The Gas are struggling in the final third, whether our defensive form has improved, and the bad feeling that surrounds the club at the moment. Do we stick with DC if this form continues? gas-cast.co.uk/blog/podcast/36-stick-or-twist/If you like what you hear, don't forget to subscribe via wherever you get your podcasts from.

Agree with leads crossing absoutlely woeful. He gets in such good positions and then puts the cross into the blackthorn.
I would have scored Ollie up and lines down. Lots of good tackles and breaking up their play. Really thought lines was on the periphery yesterday.
Also the Matthews free kick looked like the keeper tipped it onto the post from where I was. A great effort and save.
