At least we were beaten by the league leaders and not someone like Port Vale! đ

Probably true but DC does seem a little grumpy in interviews lately. Probably because he gets asked stupid questions from the plonkers who work for radio Bristol. Has anyone else noticed that the interviewers seem to tiptoe around DC with their questions of late, but it doesnât seem to be working, and it still makes for slightly uncomfortable viewing. I know it must get rather tedious being asked the same questions over and over again, but quite honestly what does he expect them to ask? Theyâre hardly going to discuss sporting ethics or ask his opinion as to whether he believes crowd tribal behaviour is innate or learned. Of course they are going to ask how he saw the game and what individual players have done. I think he could conduct himself with a little more decorum as he has no real need to be so spiky. I appreciate that it is a high pressure job but itâs almost as if he thinks there is a media conspiracy to bring him down....OMG, he does read this forum after all!

Probably still tuning in to Radio Bristol, being disappointed, and thinking we must be on DAB...again!

We donât do draws, so as MK Dons wonât be expecting it, and neither will the crowd, Iâm going for a Nichols perfect hat trick in a 3-2 win, having gone 0-1 down in the 3rd minute.

I predict a back to basics approach, keeping it tight for an hour before giving it a go towards the end. Fingers crossed we nick it at the end. Telford in the 85th minute (wind assisted) and a hard fought clean sheet with Sinclair our MOTM.

At one point last season we were going behind early doors but would be patient, tire them out, come from behind (stop it Balders) and nick it at the death with a couple of late goals. Are we suffering from âsecond album syndromeâ or are the opposition just better this time?

O parking st the stadium though but my next post did mention buying or renting nearby pieces of land for potential parking areas We could buy the Bristol Civil Service Sports Club next door and offer them full new facilities out at the Colony. that land looks twice the size of the mem and we could use it for parking or maybe put the new stadium on it Iâve been thinking the same, plus do an equivalent area land swap for part of the Muller Road Recreation Ground and youâve got more than enough land for a decent size stadium literally a stones throw from the current site. Then you could guarantee use of the Mem as a sports facility for the people in perpetuity, remove any phasing issues from the development process, and if an additional railway station is added in the Lockleaze area (which has been mooted in the past) youâve got a sustainable transport link as well. Not sure the surrounding residents would be too happy though, unless theyâve already got blue blood. đ

....after all, itâs only a stupid game! (Well thatâs what âshe who casts no shadowâ says).
I love the gas to bits, ever since my induction aged 7, but more recently Iâm of the opinion that we should treat it like going to the cinema; a special day out with other like minded people, possibly a fantastic spectacle, or perhaps not, overpriced food (hey ho itâs the entertainment industry) but with the added bonus of having a good old sing song and Squiffy junior gets to learn a few new words from the Blackthorn end. Yes Iâm interested in whatâs going on, but I honestly donât lose sleep over any internal machinations. Just chill and enjoy watching whilst the goings good. UTG

When were we not reliant upon third party agents? Was there an in-house architect before the takeover? Why would there be one? Â I did send an email to the club back in the NH days offering to look into feasibility schemes for free (ask not what your club can do for you, but what you can do for your club) so they could have had one if they wanted! đ

Who doesn't love a late charge! Psychologically it's easier to have something to chase (within reason) rather than something to lose. I think DC knows that and it is why he's never overtly worried with a slow start. Not saying he wouldn't want to be in the top three, but it's his pragmatism and ability not to panic (unlike some of the fan base) which has served him and us well, so far.

Didn't DC say somewhere that he doesn't go for the top names on the goal scoring charts that everyone else is looking to buy, as they are invariably overpriced, but looks for the players who are showing potential with a view to improving them on the training pitch. I don't think it's all down to budget either as I'm pretty sure that DC likes to roll that way, getting value for money, which, in light of the immoral sums being paid in the top tier, is highly commendable.
I am acutely aware that football is a results based business, but I'm also fairly sure that DC didn't promise to effect the kind of change he was talking about immediately. Give TN a reasonable chance, like a whole season, to show what he can do. Others have needed a year to settle in before kicking on. After all, he's only just come through the Memorial gates.

I applaud the efforts being made. You should always focus on what you can do at any given time, not what you can't. Small steps can turn into miles. Are you Rich (the bus driver) in disguise?

Geez, so little faith! I reckon we will surprise everyone, turn things around without that burden of expectation away from home, and put in a Fulham type performance and nick a 0-1 away win. UTG

Sorry where is the disrespect? Last time I checked league 1 wasn't the highest level. Far from it. It is disrespectful because he clearly doesn't know anything about Tom, like his 200+ senior appearances by the age of 22, and rather than congratulating him for his exceptional achievement of making a national squad even though he plays in the third tier, he makes a derogatory comment about the level he plays at. It's just lazy punditry and lacking in civility, which in my book is disrespectful.

Just saw this in an article on the BBC Sports app discussing the Wales game tonight.
"But maybe this might spell the end for James Collins, certainly he'll be disappointed to be released from the squad because Ethan Ampadu and Tom Lockyer are very inexperienced.
"Lockyer is playing at Bristol Rovers - not the highest of levels - and Ampadu even though he's moved to Chelsea, he's only playing under-23 football, so it's a big call."
....but how many more games does Tom need to play to be considered "experienced",......and surely we're massive! đ

We should sign someone from San Marino to ensure we've got the third international call-up criteria covered at all times. đ

Harrison's first away goal since Chelsea last year. Obviously better suited to playing at a higher level.....đ
