Calling all snitches! Only if you're a "true fan" though. Normal snitches need not apply. God help anyone that gives me a menacing stare on Saturday, I'll be snitching right away

To give some perspective I was in the shop a couple of weeks ago buying tickets for, I think, the easter game. Listening to a harassed Claire I did hear here say we'll have to stop selling tickets over the phone as she had to tally up what had been sold in the shop and what had been sold online so that they didn't over sell. Not ideal but even the last board identified they needed to bring in someone with IT skills. Think the shop staff are doing a fantastic job in less than ideal circumstances.

Hi guys, Hearts fan here, i notice we've been linked to Matty Taylor and now our manager has confirmed he is someone we are looking at, what sort of level do you think this boy is capable of playing at? I have to admit I've seen very little of him but his goalscoring record appears to be very impressive, do you think we have a chance of signing him or will bigger clubs than us be after him, just looking for some thoughts from you guys. Cheers. As I always told a dear old Hearts supporting friend of mine, who sadly is no longer with us, yes BRSTOL ROVERS.

I presume that with all this discussion about tax evasion / avoidance that everyone also has it in for everyone builder / mechanic / hairdresser / taxi driver etc that does a cash job? I'm going to probably guess not but what they are doing (& probably all of us are accomplices to) is illegal tax evasion and cumulatively will amount to huge sums just like the multi-millionaires & multi-nationals legally get away with through tax avoidance. There certainly would be enough tax raised if everyone was honest when it comes to paying their taxes. But frankly the tax code in this country (& probably every other country) is far too complicated and allows people at all levels to get away without paying taxes but no government in this country, of whatever political persuasion, has ever wanted to tackle this issue, each one will nibble at the edges & claim to have done more than the others but it's only playing to the masses (ie us).
In saying that Lansdown only left for Guernsey because Labour raised the highest rate of tax, even the staunchly left wing Nicola Sturgeon has accepted if you raise the highest rate of tax you actually get less money in then again perhaps she is just cleverer, or less inclined to make an expensive political gestures at the taxpayers expense, than Gordon Brown & Alistair Darling.

Seen higgs after the game walking through the car park with a big smirk on his face all those pound signs flashing in front of his eyes probably Well he got his money back and the club are doing well on the pitch and it looks like he's left the club in good hands off it too so he's got every reason to be over the moon hasn't he. Two things that obviously mean a lot to Higgs are Rovers and Money. Poor chairman but Rovers through and through. Can you fill us in on all the details of the deal between the old old & new owners? I'm guessing no & you know absolutely f**k all about the deal just like me. I'm guessing that the old shareholders got something back but not there full investment. But hey that's not playing to the crowd is it.

Any reply to TBone. But things seem to have got better since I posted the above. At least I was right about you disagreeing! As an aside on the other forum you have someone who is the total opposite to TBone (who I'd agree doesn't help himself at times) & was posting after the double substitution that it was a tactical masterstroke by DC, he hasn't posted since. People realise his view is completely warped in favour of DC but choose in general not to engage with him rather than take the approach of putting someone down because they don't agree with their opinion. For what it's worth whilst DC obviously called it wrong today one of his strengths is realising that early & making changes where other managers would shout & blame the players. But his big mistake, in my opinion, was not bringing someone in before the transfer deadline with our thinning resources in midfield & imminent loss of Tom Lockyear. how do you know he had the budget to bring someone in? I don't just like you don't know, unless you're saying the new owners aren't supporting him as well as the old owners did?

Lots of people are now agreeing with his point about Leadbitter, maybe someone will say he's got a point. Or probably not ... Whatever. Maybe you'll come on here and try to interact with him next time he says Matty will never make it in the fourth tier, and DC is clueless. Or probably not, eh? Why don't you try it, though. You obviously choose to ignore what people write, completely unsurprised by that. As I said this forum is laughable at times and you support that well. If I choose to engage with TBone it will be on what he writes not what he has previously written. And today after being dismissed out of hand & called an arsehole posters are now saying exactly the same s TBone. Guess there most be a fair few arseholes on here on that bsis.

What player is going to join us on loan on the basis if he fits in straight away then he might have got a game today but wouldn't play again this season, unless Lockyer was injured?? Midfield wise aren't either Mansell & Sincs due back next week but are we going to get anyone better than Lawrence on loan? Your view that they would've only have got one game. And how many players who've been told they'll be looking for a new club in the summer wouldn't have gone somewhere for only one game?

No I mean people won't even accept your right to have a point of view or opinion. But I'm sure you'll disagree with my opinion. I'm not really sure how this non-acceptance of people's right to have a point of view or opinion is supposed to manifest. What do people do that makes you think they don't accept that right? Love how this forum doesn't allow any questioning of anything DC does but people were, laughably, on this thread earlier blaming Mildenhall for the first goal. Not really sure what you mean by not allowed to question anything DC does. Do you mean people will disagree with you, if you do. That's not really the same thing, is it? No I mean people won't even accept your right to have a point of view or opinion. But I'm sure you'll disagree with my opinion.

Not at all just pointing out that from everything that has been said it has not indicated at anytime that the new owners will be building us a free stadium. As to the 99% of businesses historically must of the 92 league clubs have been in the 1% that don't. And that's without even arguing about 99% of businesses actually manage that. Yes, I wasn't pointing out that most football clubs do it, I was pointing out that it's a perfectly reasonable business practice. So we are agreeing that historically the majority (of professional) football clubs haven't operated a perfectly reasonable business practice?

People don't want to see it chippenham, even when it is staring them in the face. The owners will borrow money to finish the stadium (it's the logical tax efficient way of doing it) but be very clear when you pay £20 for your ticket they can only spend that £20 once, if it's on paying the interest then it can't be used to pay for better players. Simples. Yeah, well done for assuming anyone who doesn't agree with you must be willfully ignoring facts that are staring them in the face. It is just possible that we trust the new owners to put the club on a sustainable business footing *and* take on external investment. 99% of successful businesses in the country manage that. Not at all just pointing out that from everything that has been said it has not indicated at anytime that the new owners will be building us a free stadium. Whoever invests in uwe will want a return, either an interest rate or a share of the income generated by the asset (which means less for brfc). Borrowing 30m at 5% would cost 1.5m per annum just to service, unless we are going to be giving up an equity share in the new stadium. People don't want to see it chippenham, even when it is staring them in the face. People are reading too much into this, and would also do well to remember that Wael considered the club a very long term project and there's no intention to sell at a later date. All companies incorporate debt, even those with money in the bank and who are profitable. Investment can mean a lot of things, can just be borrowing the money until the Mem site is sold and paid for. Can also mean income from things such as naming rights. This lot know what they are doing and have a big, successful background in growing businesses. Owning part of a huge bank won't hurt, either. I for one and more than happy trusting them to get on with it, certainly happier than the previous board. The soundbites from anyone involved have been very complimentary, commenting on the professional and detailed nature of the team we have working on this, and being impressed with how it's progressing. You are quite right that most companies have some form of debt but outside football most companies are run to make a profit. Try googling the number of football clubs that make a profit. We should as fans be very concerned about the financing of the stadium as ultimately it will be the football club and by extention the fans that pay for this stadium. Of course you could just bury your head in the sand instead.

And not a bad keeper either! Another top class display by the "over the hill keeper", where are the doubters now? Well. No, yes, listen; the original one stands in the technical area with his arms folded. In fairness, I reckon he has pretty well admitted that he was wrong to doubt. In fairness to DC (who I really like) I don't think he's the type of person ever to admit he got something wrong.

Looks like Ellis started up front for Wales u21 last night and had a couple of good chances to score, one header cleared off the line and a one on one with the goalkeeper which he missed. Of concern though is that he picked up a head injury at the start of the second half and was forced to go off later because of it. That's okay I've rarely thought that Ellis uses his head for thinking.
