Top notch!! Great interview Darrell!! Honest as he could be with the investigation looming. Was disappointed we didn't bring in a replacement, or the one, or two, extra that he talked about, but at least now we know! Onwards and upwards!!

I really wish, one day, one game, he decides to turn it on. The bloke has pace, skill and can put it away but far too many times (for me anyway) he comes on as sub, fresh, and looks totally uninterested after 5 minutes. Reading through some old posts and came across this one....................

To a certain extent I agree with SteveK, too many changes, maybe just one too many! The problem was, and many people I was with agree, that when DC had to make changes early, he a) Left himself exposed to an injury to one of the other players, b) Didn't give himself the option of bringing Montano/Bodin on for width. I agree with SteveK, there is no point in playing both Sinclair and Ollie Clarke in a midfield four. Montano did enough on Tuesday to warrant another start and he does offer more defensively than Bodin (plus he works well with Browner) and can work as the left side of the 'Diamond'. As for Harrison?? He is an enigma! I don't know if DC knows which Ellis is going to turn up when he plays him, but too often recently it's been the 'falling over every time I'm challenged' Ellis and he seems to have lost that instinct for tucking away the chances. I was all for the introduction of Jake C-S as Hartley looked distinctly slow and ponderous against Crawley and thought that Jake C-S, could have challenged Tom Lockyer for MOM. I appreciated why he rested Gaffers, Matty and Linesy, but just thought it was one too many changes. I regarded it as two points lost against a MK Dons side that looked almost as good here, as they did at their place. I'd make a bid for Baldock in January, one of the best attacking full backs I've seen (and not bad defensively!) as much as I like Leads he hasn't quite got the same attacking threat. Again, my and some of the people round me's opinion, but we're all entitled to one!!

yet he made the 1st 2 goals with nice passes? Yes, but apart from those crucial, match-defining moments, what did he actually do? He never expected the Spanish Inquisition!!!

No news is good news. Hopefully he just had cramp in his inner thigh. But we never get news about players who are injured from DC. Next thing you know they're not on the team sheet and you don't know if they're injured or rotated!

Having had a great match last night, I was looking forward to seeing Rory start on Saturday, although with DC you never know, but was a little concerned in the last 10 minutes, or so, when he pulled up holding his groin. I It says volumes for him and his committment, that he was still tackling back, trying to score, or lay on goals for others, even when obviously injured. Even when DC was shouting at him to come off with a couple of minutes to go he struggled on, not wanting to let the team down! However, I am concerned that it was something bad and although he mouthed "cramp" at DC, I hope it was nothing more, because we need him in the run-up to Chrismas and the New Year. I fully expect him to get more confidence from those two excellent finishes last night and go on a spree like he did at the same time last year, but am concerned that injury (and DC's selection policy!) may stop this. I believe he gives something more to the team than Ellis, who recently has been very lacklustre, although I agree Ellis is the more natural finisher and when he doesn't fall over, is better in the air, Gaffers gives so much more!.

Why can't everyone wait until we have an official announcement and then pillory the guy? If he was reading this and was thinking of re-signing for us, it might make him have second thoughts. Whatever anyone says, he has been our most prolific striker for years and is entitled to try and better himself, even if the way he's gone about it is bad. Whatever way he goes, we should say thanks Matty and give him the same welcome back we give all our former 'favourites', if he ever does come back?

I think the team bond we have is better than any player/s bought in. I'm sure DC will be going for top 7 as always and by hook or crook he'll get us there (with a big signing in January to get us over the line.) Agree, but think we need to be top 6! It gets more difficult the higher you get (Only 2+1 to the championship)!

Actually this is turning into another JJ O'Toole thread, if anyone remembers back to the OF. WYHHB? Was that OF? I didn't think it was that long ago. Actually it was pre DC, which makes it the old OF pre- non league! Higgs banned the OF after relegation!

To a certain extent I agree with Phillistine and understand what he was saying. Yesterday, and last week, when he was playing mainly up front, he didn't put in the effort chasing their defenders down like Gaffney does when he is up front alone! Gaffney always works his socks off! Earlier in the season Matty would always 'put in a shift', even when he wasn't scoring and was worth his place in the side, if only for that! Now, he's become the striker we want, but seems to have lost some off the work-rate he had earlier. Having said that, when he dropped back to the left and Gaffney went up front alone, he did work much harder and you can't deny the quality of the finish! We also looked much better in that formation against a very useful Exeter.

It's their club too they prob got a bit excited like you are now, unless you are wael you can't say it's my club it wouldn't exist if it was your club You get different supporters in every club and some might be on the odd occasion as you call them wankers, but the wankers also love the club and sometimes get a bit over excited No harm done and gutted I wasn't there for the last 15!onwards and upwards Sorry Paul, I'm not excited, I'm just ashamed.....of them!!!! True supporters know exactly what I mean! It is my club a long time before Wael took over! I'm not going to get into an argument about it. By condoning their behaviour (which also includes the throwing of the bottles!!) you are saying that is acceptable and that if your club was deducted points because of it, that is acceptable.................
