Pretty much everything about us is miles behind Bristol City. Certainly more than ever in my life time. Have you still not understood the title of the thread?

This weekend sees the visit of the seasiders, Blackpool. It seems a long time ago since they beat us 2-0 at the start of the season, Blackpool fans were riding the crest of a wave with the noose around their neck finally lifted, with the departure of the Oyston's. A few new additions including the impressive Sulley Kaikai a player BG will know all about (Ex-Palace), and a new manager in Simon Grayson. As a gashead who knew what to expect? After a brilliant end to the season for 18/19, I expected GC's "Irish luck" to run out a little and end up about mid table under him. Anyway, here we are 6 months later and with us on a 14 game winless run, we are somehow 2 points above them. This shows 2 things. 1)Just how much GC surpassed my expecations, and 2) How Blackpool have disappointed. I should probably also mention that Blackpool have only won 1 in 10, and have just this week sacked Grayson. I'm sure the manager bounce, might have some sort of effect. I mean it always does, doesn't.... (never mind). Somehow despite our ridiculously awful form, I am feeling more positive than I probably should be. We look much worse defensively under BG's stewardship, also less streetwise. However some of the new additions have shown promise and you can see what BG is trying to achieve, even if he has been very unsuccessful with it so far. The main worry for me when he first arrived was lack of chances, however we now seem to be creating these. If we keep creating then we will eventually start putting them away. I'm going to stick my neck out, and back BG and the boys for our first win under him. Bristol Rovers 2-1 Blackpool. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!You’re a weirdo

Very hard to back Garner atm.
I’ve taken to him better than I ever did GC but I’m struggling to ‘keep the faith’.
Still time, not hopeful

If we don’t win this I can’t see where our next win will come from. No arrogance but we should be winning this We should also be beating Bolton and Stevenage. Can’t see us getting the 3 points tonight, especially if Garner opps for tippy tappy on the quagmire. Haven’t looked but is there a possibility we could be the only side to not beat Bolton this year?

I hope he turns it around, however he just strikes me as a bit of a tos**r if im being honest. Why beat around the bush. Edited so you could just say what ya wanted without trying to sound like a dick. You do, btw. Only rovers would be 4th in the league with the best team spirit I have ever seen. Then appoint a man with no experience to see through our best chance of the play offs in league 1 in over a decade. New to Rovers? Would probably say our team spirit was at it's peak during our rise from NL to our first season League 1 finish. Also think our best change at play offs was that first season back. Doing well, sell Matty. Can't hit the net for the remainder of the season. Teams like Sheff Utd and Bolton eventual promotion teams were giving us big praise - Bolton fans called us Bareclona! and now Bolton who are about to join League 2 are taking the water out of us for both our efforts this year. Whats even more worrying is we looked more a goal threat under coughlans 'negative' football than we do under ben garners 'free flowing' football. has anyone seen any free flowing football yet? GC's negative football was literally just JCH in the form of his life. Would have been dire if we had the current/recent JCH.

I think the new players will be rather cheap. Mensah was allegedly on a staggering amount so perhaps they’ve been covered by this? Can’t imagine we’re saving too much on Tommy N. Most are loans though so we’ll be paying a percentage which could be as low as 0%, I doubt we’re paying full whack Mensah was not on a staggering amount 😂😂😂😂

I would hope we told GC that he could have RM we just needed to get one through the door but it was a 100% happening, with us not actually having anyone lined up just to mess with his transfer business. And at the last minute telling him we can’t let them have RM

No way OC would leave us this late of a transfer window and not even in a January window! The boys Gas and has more loyalty unlike Taylor and co. Heard that ollie wants to leave sorry to say was shocked when I heard, but it is his career Guy has been lambasted for the best part of the last 18 months or so, if he wants to leave then he’s well within his rights too and we can’t cry about loyalty etc with the amount of sh** he’s had said about him.

My mates a palace fan, told him about our goal scoring problem of late and his response was along the lines of:
So you buy Daly to score goals?? You’ll be disappointed Relegation incoming

Good lick TN. It simply did not work out here for you and everybody has their views on the reasons why. He may thrive in L2 but his time for us in L1 was little short of pitiful. £87k a goal apparently! Well we paid 350K and he scored 9 goals(in all apps, but cup games defo count so I won’t be having the nonsense that they don’t). Works out at just under 39k a goal.

Confirmed via the clubs Twitter.
I for one am very proud of Rovers fans that toms going with the best wishes from many. Obviously hasn’t worked out for us but Tom always put 110% in and that can’t be easy when you’re going to get abuse for not scoring despite how you may perform in everything else.
Really hope he goes and smashes it.
